ordered the 64GB via Apple IUP but now having second thought should’ve gone with the 256 for only $6 more a month. Not because I worry about running out of space, After 10 months I only used up 30gb on my 256gb X. However, for the X there was news that 256GB models access data slightly faster compare to the 64GB model. Not sure if that’s true.

That's impossible that they access data faster than the 64gb models. It's all the same systems.

I use iCloud and have 200gb of storage up there, for $2.99 a month. I have a 64gb 8plus currently and still have 25gb free with over 10,000 photos, 450+ videos, and 150+ apps. iCloud is a saving grace for the phone and wallet.

I have a 64 GB X, only use around 25-30 and ordered a 64 GB Max. I don't see the appeal of a larger capacity phone. Maybe if you shot a TON of 4K video and wanted it stored locally.

If you use iCloud photo storage, then the 256 might be a waste since they seem to store the minimum on your phone. Unless there is a setting somewhere I am missing.

I have almost 200GB of stuff in my iCloud, but only use something lie 30GB of storage on my phone out of 128GB.

My current X is 256gb. I record tons of photos and videos, but thanks to iCloud I’ve only used about 40gb on my actual phone in the last year without having to load a single photo to my phone. Went with 64gb this year for my Xs Max.

Yup, I have a 64GB X and have never used more than 32GB of storage.

Also ordered a 64GB Max. I have a 256GB X and never, not once, filled up to reach 30GB...not for lack of trying either.

I have had a fear of running out of space due to my 16gb iPhone 6 or 6s, I cant remember, I ran out of storage and it sucked.
My 7+ I got 128gb and my X I got 256gb. I use I cloud storage for 200gb storage.
I went through my phone last night and deleted apps I haven't used in years, Turns out I only am using 19gb of storage.

This confirmed for my that 64gb was plenty, and I saved $150 :)
Worse case I will get bigger storage next year if I get close to maxing out my 64gb XS Max.

I ordered the 64gb XS Max. I just checked and only am using about 30-35gb space. I have OneDrive as part of my Office365 subscription and have the phone set to offload photos and videos to the cloud OneDrive.

All depends on your usage. 64gb is completely unusable for me and I don't have that much stuff on my phone. I download a couple of playlists for offline listening and then it's just photos and videos but I do use more than 64gb.

I would've paid for 128GB ($50 extra), but pushing us to pay $150 for 256GB when I don't need anything near that, I just can't abide.

So 64GB it is. Which feels stupid on such an expensive phone.

You are a bit wrong on the storage piece. It's very likely the 256 and 512 will have faster storage. https://www.extremetech.com/mobile/...re-significantly-faster-than-the-32gb-version

I currently have a 256gb X, and for this one I went with the 64gb XS Max. The reason for me was I am using 27 gb of the 256, thats with all my apps and close to 8,000 pictures, so for me 64gb is plenty.

I went with 64Gb XS Max aswell and I don't worry about the Data being access slower because it is already too damm fast, you won't even notice any difference in real life.
