I am pretty sure the only upgrades we can expect would be software or storage. It would be really nice to see a 10 or 12GB iPhone. That seems like a better size for me.
I went into a AT&Tingular store tonight and was told the 15th. They were also had a waiting list. I was number 11. I called another nearby store and they had no clue when they were coming...
So....who knows...I've heard so many dates, I don't know WHAT to believe. Guess I'll just have to be patient.
I'm still not helping your pathetic cause. Why don't you get a real job and be grateful for that Treo you already have. Put that $600 you get for the iPhone and spend it on your kids, you dope.
I was told by a Cingular/AT&T employee today to expect only 15-20 iPhones per store location for the initial release. He also showed me the wall plug (labeled iPhone) that the store display would be anchored to. (Not sure why he did this, it wasn't particularly impressive. So I'm not sure why I'm posting it now. But anyway.)
With such limited numbers per store, and a seemingly inconsistent policy regarding waiting lists and such, I'm now into serious self-debating mode over what will be the best iPhone purchase strategy. AT&T store? Apple store? eBay? I hate to sound like a total Apple goober, but I am prepared to wait in line, possibly as long as overnight, to secure one of the initial iPhones. I just don't want to invest that kind of time to come away empty-handed.
