I'm watching the live coverage of it on TechnoBuffalo right now, eagerly awaiting Jelly Bean! Are there any other Android users out there watching to see what news Google is going to announce?

I was reading a little bit about some predictions for I/O last night, but the event is occurring while I'm at work, and I won't be able to pay close attention to it. So I'll also look for a recap later today.

Wow from 100 to 400 million Android devices in one year. The Android Army is strong. Apple - they're comin' for ya.

400 million android device activations - very strong indeed.

Jellybean does look a bit cool. I started paging through the live blog since seeing this thread ;)

I have nothing better to do on my lunch. :p

Offline speech to text was yummy. Now if we just had handheld Wikipedia. Storage be damned!

Google is stepping up Android a lot with this release for developers and users. I hope the UI performance really is that much better.

I can see a lot of these features shown never getting used though.

I think Surface stole Nexus 7's thunder. Ouch

I might bite at $299. Almost there! If I did not already have a phone I would be all over it though. ;)

Same here - I could easily see myself taking the plunge at 299. I still might be tempted though

Honestly the tablet looks uninspired. Like a blown up Nexus phone. That was fine for Apple in Jan 2010, but in mid 2012 people expect more. That's why people were blown away by the Surface VaporMg design. Nobody has seen anything like that.

I'm actually very impressed with the tablet. For 199, its hard to pass up, great design, great specs, running the latest android. I've always thought that 7" tablets are sweet spot in size.

Waiting to see what the UK price will be. Not hoping for a straight $199 - £199 conversion though. :p

I'll swallow £150 (current rates 199.00 USD = 127.820 GBP)

I'm looking forward to Jelly Bean. Really makes me consider between the next iPhone or the next big Android.

The entire Nexus 7 looks inspiring. Amazing specs for a $199 priced tablet. Especially with the free movie & $25 credit.

The Nexus Q looks cool, but not for the price. It's essentially a way for you to connect your device to a TV. I can do that with a $2 cable, not going to get a $299 device to do it for me.
