iPad Anyone else’s iPad Pro unresponsive to touch with iOS 13 beta

My 12.9” Pro was sometimes unresponsive with iOS 12 but it’s way worse with iOS 13. Doesn’t respond to taps, scrolling not fluid. It’s almost so bad I’m tempted to downgrade to iOS 12 backup. But it’s hard to know if this is a software issue that will be fixed in later betas or if it’s a hardware issue. All I know is it’s darn annoying.

Think it is a software issue. No issues for me in iOS 12 but in iOS 13 I sometimes have to reboot it because it will not let me pull up the lock screen to gain access once Face ID has unlocked it.

I had minor issues in iOS 12 but nothing like iOS 13. It’s not as bad when my iPad is laying flat on a table but if I’m laying in bed holding the iPad in my hands it’s totally unresponsive.

It happens to me as well. Also orientation is broken sometimes.

The Face ID issues fixed with re-enrolling my face but the touch issue is there albeit not as bad in Dev 3 release. I’m noticing it more in apps that center around games. I’m reading apps and on Safari no issues

Definitely noticeable after upgrading on my XS Max; I’m not going to upgrade my IPP as the harder presses would drive me nuts.
 
My iPad Pro running developer beta 3 became so flaky I couldn’t use it ... so I did a reset - not deleting data but just a full reset of the device .. it runs almost flawlessly now and mail works great too. I’m not sure if this will last but after two days I am seeing a huge improvement.

Just did the same. Hope it works.
 
It has been three days now and still running great ... just to be clear, I upgraded to iOS 13 from iOS 12 using the developer profile - I did not do a clean install - so this leads me to believe that there are several bugs that create a very unstable operating experience if just doing an update vs a clean install.

I have the same touch problems with my ipp 11. After a reboot it works fine again...for like a day. Started happening with iPadOS 13, so I think it’s a software issue.
 
The 2’nd gen 12.9” iPad Pro has a serious hardware issue that apple refuses to recognize, so try not to mix into your iOS13 tests.
The issue is with touch becoming unresposive at times (regardless of orientation and other things). Search for it, and you’ll notice thousands of users suffering from this issue and a possible class action lawsuit coming up.
We have 20+ 2’nd gen 12.9” iPad Pro’s and more than half of them have the issue now and are slowly being phased out because they are useless for proper work with this issue.

Couldn't agree more. Even my 11'' Pro did it after a month. My new 12.9'' Pro does the same. Both on iPad OS and the regular old iOS 12. This combined with the super unreliable MacOS and garbage MacBook Pro keyboard really make me leave Apple now - this time for good.
 
I've had this issue on both iOS 12 and now on iPad OS PB on 3rd gen iPad Pro 12.9.
Hope they can fix this. It's irritating but I still love my iPad Pro!:)

It’s still hot garbage. I’m not taking it to an Apple store though because I doubt they’ll look at it running beta software. Probably will restore from backup to iOS 12.

Replace “at times” with “most times”. Must be a hardware issue because it’s just as bad if not worse with iOS 13.
