Hi, is anyone experiencing major lagging with IOS 9.2? I upgraded both my iPhone 5S and iPad Air to IOS 9.2 today and ever since they run like they are 9 years old. I am experiencing major lagging with everything. Apps take forever to load, Internet take forever to open up and load, keyboard is acting up. I don't know what is going on with Apple but they have went to **** lately. IOS 9.2 is buggier than hell. Anyone know how I can go back to 9.1?

Have you tried rebooting to see if something just might have gotten stuck in some way? If you are going to try to downgrade perhaps first trying to reinstall 9.2 might be worth a shot in case something weird happened with the installation?

Yes, same lag here. New fresh install iOS 9.2 setup as a new phone. Everything lags for 1-2 seconds. Rebooting the phone solves it, then happens again within an hour.

That's teally weird. I'm on 5s and it's working just fine (haven't noticed anything with keyboard or lagging) I did an iTunes install and didn't restore from backup or anything...

There's so many variables to try and problem solve and try to figure out the difference between our settings and apps...

Maybe there's an app you two have that isn't playing nice.... Sorry y'all are having issues.

Is Apple music wrapped around the axle trying to download? There are a few threads about offline music disappearing and downloads running.

iPhone 6s plus 128gb here. When using 3d touch in landscape mode to open an app, the animation lags very bad. Every now and then whenever I unlock my phone, the status bar (the top of the phone) doesn't show up and it takes a few seconds to show up then I can scroll around and use the phone. I must wait for the top bar to appear otherwise it's unresponsive.

I would not recommend iOS 9 for iPhone 5s. Didn’t you read all the lag reports on iOS 9?

Try turning off transparency.

Yikes. Same for me on my 6s+. I hadn't tried 3D Touch in landscape mode on the homescreen, but yes it does look bad. In portrait mode, the animation is buttery smooth. In landscape, there almost isn't an animation at all...it's like 2-3 jittery frames that stubble their way out of the app you're pressing.

Looks pretty crappy, but maybe I just need a fresh install.

EDIT: Just tried again a couple hours later and it's working fine. No idea what I did.

If you read from those that have the 5s like me, there is no lag. Some may, but more are not.

Yes, OP, I have Reduce Transparency on... (I forgot about that. There isn't much jerkiness in the animation with it on)

I love gimping a two year old phone that should be capable of running smooth animations  At least my Notification Center is a cool black now.

That's why I never update right away before getting a general consensus on here first. Considering that I'm still rocking my iPhone 5, I'll wait a while before I decide to update.

iPhone 5s, 6s and iPad 2 all good. Was playing with the 5s after the upgrade and went to turn on reduce motion and transparency and was surprised it was already on.

How's the iPhone 5s's battery with iOS 9.2? How may hours of usage can you get ? I want to upgrade from 8.4.1 as it has a lot of battery drain issues.
