Don’t need to be a T-Mobile customer and can renew when your 5GB is up. I have an ATT pre-paid unlimited plan that i use normally but i add this plan as a supplemental plan always active for when i go to places that are really bad ATT service, like Atlanta, and i switch it over to use ... if i use it up i load up another $10 worth ...which lasts another 5 months ... lightning fast and convenient when you need it and your only out $10 ... if you don’t use a lot of data, you only need the T-Mobile plan, sign up right on your iPad, it works with the e-sim and can be loaded along with any other plans you may have ON THE SAME E-SIM... i travel a lot and WiFi not always convenient ... so i make use of all my plans, but for those that have a lot of WiFi available, then this is the only plan you need ... best plan available period.

Thank you!!! I travel a ton and spend more time trying to tether my iPhone and crappy hotel WiFi. I’m all over this one, thanks! I’m locked in with AT&T but always wanted to be a T-Mobile customer so this will do both.

Apparently not ... I tried to get ATT to move my plan to a physical sim and put my tmobile plan on the esim, well they screwed up and low and behold, my tmobile plan is on the esim along with the ATT plan .... to switch i just go into cellular and swap the choice ... i verified this also by completely removing the physical sim.
Thanks, I was able to get both working from the esim.

On the new iPad Pro cellular versions, select T-mobile as the carrier and scroll down. The 5GB/5mo. Plan is listed toward the bottom of the listed options.
I think the issue I have is that my sim is locked to that 200mb plan and even though my iPad Pro has an eSIM I have the Verizon model and they disable it internally. I think my plan is to go to a store an buy the physical Apple SIM card and do it that way and just create a new T-Mobile account.

AT&T charges $20 to add unlimited to our unlimited data account, but with tax, it comes to about $27-28. I’ve been just paying the $30 AT&T for 30 days and cancel/add just when I need it.
I'm late to the game here. Are there no additional taxes/fees on the $30/30? Good point about the $20 unlimited add-on having a $add-on
