They’re wrong, I’ve traded mine in store the past two years and my loan was canceled within hours.I chatted with a rep and he said no.

Hmm my box is arriving today, thinking about just dropping by the apple store and asking in person. They’re wrong, I’ve traded mine in store the past two years and my loan was canceled within hours.
Mine is the same, says label created and was supposed to be delivered today but no tracking info. Just showing the label so I assume mine is in the same situation as yours.I just got off the Chat Line with an Apple Rep, he stated they were to have been sent out already and sent me the UPS link, I said I have My Choice UPS and already knew they created a label on the 21st but nothing has shipped, he seemed surprised and stated he requested a new one for me. He stated the usual High Demand and more trade ins yada yada. We shall see, I would like to pay off the card once the credit is there.
How did you figure out the return labels? Does it show up in the account?
UPS started moving and now it is expected to arrive on 9/27.In the past, I remember I used to get mine before the phone was delivered. I got my 15 delivered on Friday but still haven't got my kit. I see UPS has a shipping label created since Thursday (9/21). Not sure what is going on this year. Anyone got their kits?
Seems like that is their problem. Is there the same foam bag to put the phone in?Mine just came. I’m a little concerned about the box this year. It doesn’t seem like it will keep things very secure.
No. The phone will basically be loose in a smaller compartment of the box.Seems like that is their problem. Is there the same foam bag to put the phone in?
Both boxes we have received have been like in the past. Inner white box and foam envelope. Are you on IUP?No. The phone will basically be loose in a smaller compartment of the box.
No, I’ve never done IUP. They must have a whole different service for those trade-ins then. Both boxes we have received have been like in the past. Inner white box and foam envelope. Are you on IUP?
Isn't it cheaper to trade in the iPhone 14 Pro for $570 each year and only put $429 for the iPhone 15 Pro instead of joining the iPhone upgrade program? For instance, the 15 Pro 128 GB is $50 a month which is $600 and $684 with tax.If you had your new phone shipped via Apple Upgrade Program/IUP, then you cannot trade in at store because the trade in system is different due to Apple and Citizen Bank system arrangement. You have to mail your trade in with provided trade in kit. I learned it on a hard way last year. If you are not in iUP, then you should be fine to trade in store despite having a trade in box mailed, also per my experience two years ago.
The boxes in the past came with a tight plastic you slid your phone into so it was secure. This year it was just cardboard and you fold it down on top of the phone. I shook it and it still didn't slide around, but I think the tight plastic sheet was definitely more secure.
It was pretty secure surprisingly. I put mine in with the case and shook it a bit and didn’t hear it moving around at all. But mine was a 13 Pro, so a bit bigger.I was surprised to get the plain cardboard box this year. I haven't erased + packed my phone yet... It's a 13 mini and I'm worried it'll still slide around.
I was surprised by the return box as well I liked the ones they sent with the plastic that the phone slid into it as it was more secure. I also take my phone right to UPS have them scan it in and give me a receipt when I am there this way I know they have accepted it and it's on them from there.I was surprised at the cardboard box this year, too. I traded in both my 14 pro and a Watch series 7 and both trade-in kits were the same type of box. The watch seemed especially insecure, but it didn't rattle in the box. Sent them both back last week — my return was via UPS. I've already received my full trade in value for both.
Interestingly, the watch box came first. Someone had opened it up, found it was empty, and used the included tape to close it back up. I called Apple Support and they said that as long as the box wasn't damaged and the return label was intact, I could just use my own tape. So that's what I did.
I always take the returns back to a UPS store. There's a multi-carrier mailing center that's a lot closer, but they refuse to give me a receipt for Apple returns. They will give receipts for other stuff, like Amazon. But when it's Apple, they claim that they never give receipts because "it's just the tracking number and you already have that." Pointing out that it's also proof that they received the item for mailing and thus are responsible if it goes missing or is damaged does not change their "policy." So I drive a little further and take it to UPS, who does give me a receipt.
You should have already been charged, you get a credit when they receive it.Anyone knows what happens when you don't send in your trade in and the card on file, Apple card, doesn't have enough to cover the $650 charge? I'm not trying to get away with anything bad just wondering how I end up paying the trade in balance.
