Anyone have the old youtube back ?

Just launched the Youtube app and immediatly noticed that the old youtube interface is back, it's damn cool the new one is not ergonomic ! :) I have it on my iPhone but on my iPad it's still the new one :/
By the way the new crappy icon is still here. Anybody else in the same situation ?
 
What do you mean by old YouTube? Screenshot perhaps?
 
Kill the app from multitasking and open again and you'll get the new look.
 
No, I'm still getting the crappy new interface.

It's clear that the new design isn't actually tied to the last software update, as many of us got the change before downloading it.

Aha nope won't do that as I prefer the old design. :p

Guess I'm lucky to have it back then. I hope it won't revert to the new one automatically.

Hehe. It will only stay for a while as mentioned. As soon as iOS removes the app from memory you'll get the new look. I gues you could occasionally open the app to keep it from getting purged.
 
This thread reminded me that I still have the old one on my Mac and my apps are not set to automatically update! I deleted and reinstalled and will stay on this version as long as I can.

I tend to get the old design when I first download it off the App Store. New icon though. When I close it and launch again, new look. Weird.
 
Google's pretty good (in my opinion) with their design language. They'll get it tweaked.

I honestly like this design better than the old one, I just think that there's a really inefficient use of space, but this is also apparent on the Android YouTube application.

It's not Google trying to mess with you just because you're on iOS. They'll get this fixed.
 
New YouTube is junk. The search bar is so large it hides half your letters. Ridiculous. The old one was great.
 
What is the version before YouTube released this ugly design? I don't have updates enabled on my iPhone, and I never updated the app manually, and yet I now have this ugly design. The version that's installed is 10.35.11705.

Yeah many users reported that the new design is enabled on the server side, not the app itself so even if you don't update you have the the new design.

What's all this guff about 'material design' anyway? It's just a different style and a bit obtrusive.
