I have a Mac Pro 2013 with 3 displays attached (1 from HDMI, two from Thunderbolt). After the upgrade, Catalina sometimes shows my first screen on third and third in first one. Because one of them is vertical and another is horizontal, it renders the whole system unusable for me. I needed to log out and re-login, then it would be fixed, but it also means that all of the running programs and VM's will be closed and I have to re-open all of them - not always possible. Any suggestions for this?

Sorry no. I have 2 external 4k monitors and an elgato dock. The Mac always gets the resolution for the second monitor incorrect with Catalina. To get it correct i need to disconnect the MBP from the dock and then reconnect it. Never happened in Mojave. Second it polls the monitors even when the MBP is asleep. Continually switches back. Did not happen with Mojave. Its simply once you get some thing that works don't upgrade. Continue working around Apples bugs yourself. Seems you have a work around just stick with it.
