Okay, I'm back with an update.

Whilst there still appears to be a glitch with the GTX 1060, when waking from sleep, it's not exactly the same glitch as before. What I'm noticing now is that only occurs once.

If I reboot my system, and allow it to go to sleep, when I wake it for the first time it is slow to wake up and there are graphical glitches on the screen. This is consistent with how things were in 10.12.5. However, if I then put the system back to sleep and wake it up again the glitches are gone. Previously I had to log out to do this. If the computer goes back to sleep after this has all occurred it wakes and performs without issue.

I'll keep an eye on it over the coming days and report in on any extra findings.

Edit: No, it appears that was just a one off event. Clearly something has changed, but in general it still glitches when you wake it from sleep. Very tempted to sell it and pick up a Sapphire RX 580 Pulse.

Edit: Well that was easy. Sold the GTX 1060 for the same price I paid for it. Will go back to my HD 7950 for a while.

The hitching referred to earlier, and the sleep bug, is happening to me too.

I have tested it on my evga gtx680me, and titanxp, it happens the same in both.
I just installed the new 12.6 driver so dont know how bad it is now.

So many companies make their own versions of Geforce cards under the same name. Could it maybe be something to do with how a manufacturer is making the card?

There's a TonyMac x86 thread with tons of reports of this issue, with various brands.
[doublepost=1501046838][/doublepost]I heard from someone else who also contacted NVIDIA that the progress on the fix is slow; they're still bug testing and are not sure yet where it's coming from.

I would sell mine, but I want that gaming performance in Windows; and, under Mac OSX, it's very nice, despite the glitches. I just hope this gets fixed sooner or later, before my card is worthless.

BTW, I had no idea that there was even an updated driver for 10.12.6, let alone 10.12.5. I guess I'll try updating.

My two cents... I'm finding the new 10.12.6 NVIDIA web driver to be far better than the previous version. Resuming from sleep, and indeed idle, where I was seeing problems before now works perfectly.
I take it back. Still sometimes seeing lag when returning from idle or standby. As before, it goes away after 30 seconds or so.
Also, and this is new as of 10.12.6, it sometimes goes to a black screen, with mouse pointer only showing, when exiting standby.
This is on a GTX 1070 FE with latest web driver.

Can you report this to NVIDIA customer support? This is the first I hear of a 1070 user having issues. Seems to mostly be 1060 users. This will get their attention some more.

As an update with the newest driver for 12.6, I'm getting all the glitches the 1060's are getting.
The hitching in world of warcraft has gotten much worse with my nvidia Titan Xp.

I actually removed my TitanXp, put back my gtx680me, and removed the web driver, which returned warcraft to normal.

I updated to 10.12.6 (from 10.12.4), with the latest NVIDIA driver. Haven't tested how it behaves after it sleeps; however, I noticed that my entire Mac just feels slightly slower after this. My graphics are not as speedy and not quite as smooth. What a disappointment.

I miss the pre-Yosemite UI because it was just relatively fast and snappy. Got ahold of a second 4,1 today, which currently runs Mtn. Lion. The speed was insane, and with a mechanical HDD. I can't get close to that feeling while running Sierra, with a 12-core upgrade, PCIe SSD boot, 32GB of RAM, and a GTX 1060. Anyway, I digress... probably should have stayed on Mavericks for a while. There's no going back now. Hoping High Sierra will run better.

Anybody seeing the issue on a Founders Edition/reference card?

I hav ea founders card and have been battling with this since day one pascal support. I also have a an ultra wide screen 3440*1440. I dont know if it matters:( its been wiggin me out!

I am getting sick of this. NVIDIA said that they are working on the issue, but progress is slow. I badly want to sell off my second 4,1 Mac Pro and buy a GTX 1070 and a nice 4K display, then sell the GTX 1060.

1070 isn't much better.
Get a Sapphire RX 580 Pulse 8GB instead.
I'm ditching my 1070 due to all the problems with NVIDIA's web driver.
Pascal support in macOS is garbage. Stay away.

Yes, but the 1070 will not have this major glitch which the 1060 suffers from. Also, I am sick of using non-flashed cards; I want to get a flashed 1070 from MacVidCards and have better performance across the board.

You aren't having the wake-up glitch on your 1070, are you?

Black screen from wake up, be it resuming from sleep or just from the monitor in sleep. Also seeing UI lag for about a minute or so also when doing so.
As soon as I put back in my GTX 680 and removed the NVIDIA web driver all issues went away.

As I said, Pascal support in macOS is garbage. Stay away and go for a card with native drivers such as the Sapphire RX 580 Pulse 8GB which is fully supported as it is included in Apple's eGPU dev kit.

Are you running sierra or high sierra? I only ask as I don't think there are any high sierra nvidia drivers yet.
[doublepost=1502602723][/doublepost]The thing that makes me scratch my head at this stuff, in fact not just with gpu's but anything is how some people have issues and other never have a problem what so ever. I am not running a geforce card so can't offer any input but that does make me scratch my head.

Is your GTX 1070 flashed? I only ask because I'm surprised that MacVidCards would sell a GTX 1070 if there are apparently issues with it and macOS. (Also, does that Radeon card allow for PCIe 2.0 support under Windows?)

Also, what about the Radeon RX 480? I want something that works great in both OSX and Windows. Apparently, having a non-flashed GTX 1060 means that my Mac, in Windows, doesn't allow the card to use my machine's PCIe lanes' full potential.

I would like a card that does well in OSX, does well in Windows, and doesn't necessarily need a proper Mac flashing procedure. (I already have a GT 120 handy, in case I need boot screens.) It also must work without needing power from other areas of the case.

As mentioned, the Sapphire RX 580 Pulse 8GB is the perfect card for you.
Not a variation of this card, nor different brand or model. This exact specific model is the one to get.
