I know this dosent really apply to the thread, but can i just ask, why are people so persuaded by the android phones that have better hardware than the iPhone? Like i appreciate that, but we know that the iPhone will be supported for like 3 generations after, and I'm just wondering how does the quad-core what ever in the samsung s3 benefit anyone?? Like i couldnt imagine my 4s opening an app any faster being of any benefit to me??? I never understood this...

For me, personally, I got bored.

I was waiting for the 4S - thinking it was going to have a bigger screen. When that didn't happen I figured I would try out Android.

The GNex was the only phone that I wanted to try out if it wasn't going to be the next iPhone.

IMO Android is on par with IOS. It may not be as smooth as IOS, but the differences are minimal. App selection - at least the ones I use - is just as robust as IOS.

Where Android blows IOS away:

I can do anything I want with my phone. Theme it. Run 3rd party applications. Try custom ROMs. Pretty much anything you want.

My house is pretty much dominated by Apple products. I believe both platforms can co-exist and work well together.

I recently made the switch to a HTC One X, have been using my iPhone 3GS for iMessages & portable stereo. I always hesitated to jailbreak the iPhone but I'm considering it now, just for the heck of it.

Did you get a new phone number for your One X?

Curious, because you mention that you use your 3GS for iMessages now.

When I first got my GNex texts from my wife (iPhone user) were still going to my inactivated iPhone 4. I couldn't get texts from her until I completely wiped out any traces of my number or AppleID from Apple.

It's a very serious problem and makes me wonder how a company like AAPL can have such a glaring problem.

Heh, I had the same thing happen to me. Wife was sending txts to me and getting aggravated that I wasn't responding. Finally figured out that they were going to my iPhone. Not very well thought out.

I only got my first iMessage when I thought to turn the wifi on my iPhone. When the wifi isn't on, the messages go to my 1X. I figure it's a few text messages that I won't have to pay for. :)

They're just just kidding, right?

thanks for correcting :)
I suck at English cause I am not a native speaker.
and it's sad that I feel scared everytime I post on macrumors.

I really considered and considered about commenting my original comment on this thread and I just realized that it was indeed a bad choice..

sorry for commenting on the term "iTouch".
and I should really not care about people who vote down on my comments but .. LOL I guess I'm really a small minded person.. I feel so bad about it. :(

I'm sorry I made you feel bad! My comment was supposed to be light hearted and poking fun at everyone else as much as your mistake. :) You shouldn't worry about your English or grammar as you're not a native speaker. You obviously speak English well enough to have a conversation and that's all that's needed really.
