The 42mm square apple watch is just too small. I hope that in the second generation they make a round 46mm or larger watch.

Ordered the Pebble Time Steel today. Gonna give that a go.

I've owned the first version of the steel. Imo it's just like using an android watch with an iPhone except better battery like and no touchscreen.

I've owned the OG plastic and the first Pebble Steel. I would have to disagree that it's just like an Android Wear watch, minus the touchscreen. Between the simple, yet comprehensive home grown Pebble OS, and the included App/watchface store, Pebble is light years better on iOS than Android Wear. I was perfectly happy with a Pebble for YEARS with an iOS device. Now, will all the bells and whistles on the Apple Watch spoil me on Pebble again? Guess I'll find out soon.

Actually, I'm not all that torn up about losing the touchscreen. I think that touchscreens on wrist worn devices are all pretty clumsy.

Yeah that's right. Completely forgot about the pebble apps.

If they could just make it look more like a traditional watch I might give them another try.

I used an LG G Watch R on my 6S, and it was horrible. I got some notifications, but the biggest thing was I couldn't keep my phone paired and stream music in my car. It would disconnect my watch, and I'd have to manually go back into the Android Wear app and reconnect it. If I restarted my watch, it also wouldn't reconnect automatically.

While it works, it's basically useless.

not until google has more access to ios, android wear cant compete with apple watch. and i think apple wont open it much more because then there are no customers paying for an overpriced watch. i wouldnt buy apple watch but i certainly would buy another one if only they could utilize ios better.

Depending on how much you pay for an android wear watch, android wear could be enticing to people looking for notifications and some "ok google" services.

I returned the Moto 360 this weekend. Couldn't get 10 hours of the battery without it dying. That wasn't going to work.
