The 2.0 update is brilliant. The dock for the open apps makes some many things easier.

Although I wish there was a better layout for accessing all the little control panels.

This App is only good if you have a static IP.

I love the Idea, just not practical for me. Why would I want to drain my battery for no reason? .....who doesnt have a mouse and would really need this ? What functionality does it provide past conventional methods ?

I just don't get it

It's excellent, I bought it in December for $2.50 and they just updated
it witha heck of a lot more features.

Is use this app when my MacBook is connected to the tv

Been having major issues with this app, used it about 6months ago and it was great. Then forgot about it, for the past week or so Ive been trying to get it working

Tried everything! My iPhone IP is ***.***.0.2 and my air mouse app IP is ***.***.0.3 changed my IP in airmouse to the same as my PC IP, then I can see my PC in the airmouse app but I still cant move the mouse. Tried reinstallign the app and server. Now I keep gettign this message 'unable to connect, could not find a server to connect to.....'

Iam also getting this meesage on start up which might be linked...

Here's an idea...don't get it?

As is mentioned in the thread, it's for people who have computers connected to their TV's, where a mouse and keyboard aren't always needed/available. I have no need for it but it's brilliant app and I bought it on sale. It's almost as good to use as the trackpad on my MBP.

FWIW, I don't have static IP -- my EeeBox (which serves to Airmouse), my EeePC, my iMac, and my phone all connect to my wireless network DHCP, and Airmouse works very nicely.

Although, I don't really understand the "it's good if you have static IP" but "who would really need this".... For me, my EeeBox, which is mounted on my TV, has a keyboard, but when I watch TV or movies on it, I don't want a full keyboard out next to me, and the airmouse is convenient.

The update is incredible! I don't use the gyration mouse hardly at all as I feel it is more of a novelty than it is practical. the touch pad mode however is amazing, and now that the dev's have added so many new features, I can access my mac in great detail without touching my keyboard. Great stuff, well worth it and I'm happy I have this app.

Can anyone help me out?

Although I'm on a Mac, not your PC, I changed the port to 5055 in the computer's AirMouseServer app, and it worked.

I had similar problems connecting, and tried static IPs, but after many emails with their support, to no avail, read in the Troubleshooting section this port change workaround. It may be different on a PC, but worth a shot. It fixed it for me. There may be other port numbers you can try, but I can't help you with those numbers for your PC.

By the way, their email support is pretty responsive and quick, so go to their website and send them one if you have no luck.

Hope it works.

Okay why would I need this if I have a wireless mouse? Dont get it.

Because you cant type with a wireless mouse...i.e. watching Hulu from your computer while your lying in bed. Much easier to just have your little iPhone to select the next episode, or search and enter in an instant view from Netflix.
Not all this can be done with a click.

Does it work with ipod touches, or only iphone?

Mobile air Mouse any users?

Downloaded the app Mobile Air Mouse last night and at first loved it. But now am getting serious dropouts after only one or two minutes of being connected. Also if it does work it is very laggy and sluggish.

For thos of you not familiar with ts app it's a remote mouse app. In theory very cool idea your entire iPad surface becomes a mouse pad and you use your fingers to move the cursor on your remote laptop or desktop computer. The uses for this could be presentations, if you view your computer on your tv and want to have a mouse close by on the couch.

Lots of cool potential uses. The execution isn't there yet. Hopefully new updates resolve the issue.

Any other users here? Anyone experiencing similar issues?

My main computer is a recent Toshiba laptop running vista.

Thanks

Once connected I've never had any dropout or lag. It maybe your wifi connection, try out some alternative apps to see if you have the same problem.

Air Mouse used to work great for me but now I have the same lag issues. I can hold a connection fine but after about 5 seconds of use it gets WAY laggy, to the point where I can move in a zigzag with my finger, then stop, and watch the computer catch up.

Oddly I also have the same problem with the Logitech version as well.

Running Win7 32 bit. Tried turning off virus scanner and such, no luck. Stumped.

I got it working smoothly for most of the day. But it's now being laggy again. The tap feature doesn't work at all now.

I like this app. But just need to figure out what is causing this lagginess sluggishness.
