I upgraded from 7 to 10 and am wearing the new 10 now. It's the same watch. A little thinner? Meh... Better OS? Negligible difference.

It had been almost 4 years since a new one and I am giving the old one to a relative. There is no more excitement/payoff in starting up new apple products. You upgrade because the older ones are slowing down/getting worn out, not because there are staggering upgrades.

That's what I think as well. But my company pays for it for health reasons so I am considering upgrading once the price drops to $330 in month on sale.

I am going to the store this weekend to investigate possibly trading in my green S7 to the jet black S10. Looking to see if the larger screen and thinner shape make a difference. I may also use it for sleep tracking.

After heading to the store, there is too small of a difference for me visually or performance wise to get excited about upgrading from a S7 Green to a S10 Jet Black. The Jet Black goes with more straps - but otherwise the feel is very similar. My S7 is at 100% battery and has AppleCare, so I’m not seeing a big reason to upgrade at this time. I would consider it if I could get $50 or more off the S10.

The Series 7 was an underrated update that has stood the test of time.

If you wait a month then 100% guarantee Amazon will list it for 350. During BF and Christmas it will go down to 329. Cycle continues.

Nope. 89% capacity on my battery still with well over 50% charge left after 14 hours of use on my S7. Don’t wear it when sleeping, don’t have sleep apnea & with the cost of a new S10, low trade in value of my S7, & no blood oxygen measurement, it would actually be a downgrade for me buying an S10.

Have green 7, actually upgrading from series 2 to 10 today. Can't be without a watch and need the back up and the series 2 is now too antiquated. So 10 will be primary and 7 back up. Takes a couple hours to charge the 7.

REALLY wanted to buy an Ultra 3 and was shocked it wasn't offered. Like black. Want the modular watch face for the Ultra. Have to wait until next year. I don't splurge often for new gear. The Ultra 3 will have to be significantly more appealing with new features to justify buying it after buying the 10 now.

My S7 was at 87% battery. Verizon offered me $180 trade-in for it, which is more than I would have been able to sell it for. Took a bit of sting out of the upgrade. I only update my watches about every 3 years. I have an Ultra 1 and the S10 now. Ultra 1 is on workout and sleep tracking duty while the S10 is for everything else.

I upgraded in the last week and I do notice a difference. Is it mind-blowing? No. But there are a few quality of life upgrades.
- I notice the screen size
- I notice better performance. so for example when I'm on a run and I am just on cellular, i can switch from music to podcasts with no lag. There was a noticable lag before and these sort of tasks were just not worth doing.
- double tap is a gimmick but I use it sometimes actually. I use the torch when using the bathroom at night because lights bother me, being able to switch torch with double tap is actually sort of helpful.
- screen does seem a TAD better to me if viewing from angle (i.e. looking down for a text during a meeting).

these are very little things but they add up to "something".

I still have a SS S7 because the trade-in on the original Ultra was pathetic. I thought about trading it in for a S10 but I don't really like the proportions of the S10 and I've got all the functionality of the S10 plus blood oxygen on my pre-import ban Ultra 2, so the S7 will stay here for now.
