I ordered mine a few days ago and wondering if anyone had theirs process or ship yet, they are not very helpful with estimating when I can expect shipping to happen

I am wondering the same thing. My order says, "Backordered" on both the iPad 11" 256GB Space Gray Wifi and Apple Pencil 2.

That I can’t say. I preordered a camera lens from them a couple of months ago, so I’m familiar with the backorder/preorder thing, but I wasn’t watching the shipping super close and I don’t think Canon embargoes their stuff the way Apple does. I know B&H shipping is a well-oiled machine, so I’d expect they’ll ship out as soon as they have product.
Ordered mine on 10/31 around 11 AM CST.
If I can't wait, then I'll just bite the tax saving and go to the Apple store on Wednesday afternoon.
I’m lucky, my next town over has an APPLE store and it’s a no sales tax state.
When I ordered my XS Max from Apple, I was stunned when I saw the tax on it. I forgot my state raised their sales tax a 1/2% a few years ago. Tax was something like $78.00!
That’s what we had in Seattle. 9.5%, and 10% at restaurants. Though we didn’t have income tax (the double dip is where Californians really get screwed). The year we bought two MBPs we saved over $500 in tax by buying from B&H.
Well, technically you're supposed to pay for it while you file your taxes, but nobody does. The Supreme Court actually had a ruling recently to close the loophole that online retailers aren't required to collect sales tax in states where they have no physical presence. So I'd expect this to not last much longer. Basically it went back to a ruling which set precedent which stated that mail in catalogs didn't have to be required to collect sales tax if they mail their catalogs to states where they don't have a brick and mortar presence. But given the scale of the internet economy and how everything is moving in that direction and the strain it is putting on local governments and society at large, the courts decided to overturn it in this case.

As for B&H, I'd be really careful ordering from them around this time of year. They tend to get things lost and then are unable to tell you where the package is and the carrier says they never got it. I'm not the only one. Never again!
B&H is not as reliable as they used to be. Yes - there is the tax avoidance benefit - but on new hot products you need to wait it out. (What they show in stock - much easier). This year I had ordered an Apple watch, a Sony camera and Sony noise cancelling Headphones; I ended up cancelling all three before B&H was able to ship as the items became available much sooner at Best Buy and Amazon. I also noticed that when calling me they would dance around the issue and not reply accurately (like because they simply did not know what gas going on)
Ordered on Oct 31 - my order still says "Backordered". Wondering if it'll ship tomorrow. My folio case shipped from Apple - for some reason B+H wanted to charge me additional shipping just for the folio case...even though i had both the pen and the 11" pro in the same cart, so I ordered it directly from Apple.
7:25 AM CST - Just checked B&H and it still says, "Backordered"
Apple shows it being available to order and pick up in store today near me...can't decide if I should just pony up the tax and buy on Apple right now to pick up later today or wait it out

That's what I'm thinking as well. I'm more afraid that they might never get it in stock and I'm just sitting here waiting forever...

I just had a webchat with them. They don't seem to have any visability on when they will receive shipment from Apple. Not a terribly good sign, but I'm not in a rush - so I'm gonna wait it out. Maybe I'll get it by Christmas?

I think I will be patient and stick it out since I only just got a iPhone Max even if it means after xmas.
I bundled a 256gb 12.9”. / pencil / smart folio in the apple store cart and it worked out only 80 odd bucks more for the exact same with B&H but with 512gb storage instead

I picked up my order from Apple yesterday, and would say it was well worth the $80 tax I paid. I went from an iPad Mini 2 to iPad Pro 11". I really didn't want to wait and take the chance with B&H. Hope everyone gets theirs soon!
Did your card charged when you preorder? It should be lame your card to be charged and to wait 1-2 months your iPad to shipped out.
