I e-mailed them and they responded really quickly with a sorry about the wait they have been bogged with the success of the promotion and are working as hard as popssiboe to get them into the electronic media section.

I'm glad that I did not need one immediately.

It's an automated response. I got the same thing.

I actually wanted to do some of the reading today while my wife is at work.
 
I saw a tweet from O'Reilly Media today that they expect to have a fix in place for missing downloads no later than Monday.

Update: now they're saying

Readledocs

I subscribe to Orielly Safari. They let you convert some book chapters to pdf. Readledocs handles them fine. Ibooks doesn't have much in the way of technical books, Amazon has a few. The Kindle reader seems to work ok. For PDF's I don't think you can go wrong with Readledocs. I've had a couple of crashes but nothing serious.
