Re: Good thing you two seem to KNOW . . .
Wow, tiger, calm down. MAC is actually an acronym used in networking "Machine Address Code", Mac is short for Macintosh, which is not an acronym and is not capitalized, typically. But you go ahead and capitalize it - I am sorry I jumped to conclusions that you were a noob because of that, since you seem to have extensive knowledge of everything.
When you said: "Broadband for MAC is Rare and EXPENSIVE!" I thought to myself, all those Mac-using friends of mine wih DSL and Cable surely found something that works... In both price and performance. Exotic broadband is, granted, harder to find for a Mac, but you must admit that all mainstream (thus the majority) broadband travels through DSL, cable, ISDN or dedicated backbones (T1, T3, optical, etc.). And at the end of all those line you plug into an ethernet port and off you go.
Ciao.
PS: Since Personal Computer is PC, so I guess a Mac can be a MAC (My Adorable Computer).

Unfortunately, you are both wrong. The interaction of the Satellite Broadband using both Satellite and Phone Lines has proprietary software that manages the usage of a different transit point for the downstream and the upstream.
It's no big thing that you don't know this because in a LOGICAL WORLD you would both be right but not all of the world is actually plug-and-play.
As for this "newbie," for reference, my GUESS (just a guess) is that I've personally owned more MACS/Macs than both of you put together considering I currently have my 25th, 26th, and 27th MACS in use (simply see my signature listed just below). And as for administrating, I'm in the hundreds on both MACS and PC's. Sorry you missed that call too.
