I was wondering - it’s payday and I deposited some money into my Apple savings and it shows pending and won’t update the balance - normally it’s instant. I’m assuming this is part of the outage too.

During these outages I had a longer delay than usual with approval process applying Apple Cash to my Apple Card balance. It seemed to time out & then said Apple Pay not available, but when I looked the Apple Cash was taken (didn’t know about outages at the time). It still hasn’t applied to card balance or shown up as pending transaction under Apple Card. Apple has not sent me a confirmation email, but again the money was taken from apple Cash balance.

In Apple Cash the transaction taking the money is labeled a withdrawal with a generic icon instead of the usual Apple card payment and icon (On an older device that can only run ios15 it’s labeled as an unknown transaction with same generic icon). There is no transaction listed under Apple Card which is unusual as one normally appears instantly even if balance not yet reduced.

It is still an issue early this morning.

I contacted Apple Card thru messages last night, but I feel i got the standard reply of waiting 24 to 48 hours to apply even though it’s always been instant or within minutes in the past. I need to contact Apple today using Apple Cash, but it is a phone call and not as easy to communicate directly with someone as Apple card / Goldman is.

Apple Pay was down, where is the news about that? that's quite a big deal and shouldn't be brushed under the carpet.

I am not sure how wide spread any Apple cash, pay, card issues were, but today both the Apple Cash company (can’t remember name) and Goldman for the Apple Card have said there were some issues applying Apple Cash payment/transfers to the goldman side.

At least in my case Apple Cash sees the transaction as cleared without issues, but Goldman sees the transaction as being declined and money going back to or staying in the Apple Cash account even though that didn’t actually happen. I guess it’s in some clearance account. The Goldman/Apple Card rep said their technical support is working on issue, but the rep wasn’t sure which direction the money would go in that fix (back to Apple cash or to Goldman/Apple Card) or exactly when that would take place.

I had this exact issue, money gone from Apple Cash(shown as withdrawal), still not showing up on the Apple Card as a payment. GS also told me to wait a day or so and that it would show up either on the card or back in my Apple Cash. I guess we will see.

It’s all because of the DMA that the EU is forcing Apple to change on their services. Apple is making those changes now and as a result, these services are suffering from reliability issues.
You should blame Apple for not being able to update without breaking things…

Has your issue been fixed?

Mine has not been fixed yet.

after trying chat with Apple Card/goldman and getting no help i got an email just now that said:

“You recently made a payment towards your Apple Card using Apple Cash. The payment may not have immediately appeared on your Apple Card, but rest assured that the payment will be applied to your Apple Card as of the date that you made the payment, which was January 27, 2024. (It was actually Friday night jan 26)

You will see this payment reflected on your Apple Card on Monday, January 29, 2024. You do not need to take any further action.“

If you can, turn off Teams auto-start in startup settings in the Task Manager. It's such an annoying resource hog.

It’s all clamped down by “the man”. I’m surprised I can even quit it after my Dell box boots. It’s a gubment operation and some of the info is pretty sensitive so I have little control over it. Which is fine. It’s a work computer and it’s a tool to do work.

The network is heavily filtered too, but Apple Music streams, and that helps since the cell phone signal is terrible in the office
