I wish Notes worked but, at least I have the Face ID option. I am glad that I can get into my password managers with my watch again.

It took me about 6 - 7 tries with the Apple Watch (after the updates) before it started working. There seemed to be about an hour delay before it kicked in.
What do you mean by 6 tries? Closing the cover and reopening or unchecking and rechecking in security and privacy?

I've started to have issues on my iMac: the "Unlock with Apple Watch" box is ticked, but when I try to log in, it shows a spinning disc and "Unlocking with Apple Watch"—then that disappears and is replaced with the password dialog.

It seemed to start when I enabled Fast User Switching—but I have that on my MacBook Pro, which works flawlessly.

Ugh.

After months of having the unlock feature working properly, it just broke again. Can't get it to work no matter what I try. So frustrating and disappointing.

I now suspect it has more to do with MacOS than the watch itself.

Yup, unsure what update has caused this, but somewhere along the line an update has buggered this right up, it was one of the delights of just turning on the monitor and your watch vibrates and your background is ready in front of you.

Hopefully sorted soon!

So, it simply stopped working for you, too? If so, that gives me hope that it really is something that will be fixed in a point update.

Yeah, unsure exactly when, but I've realised I've started to have to enter my password when I turn my monitor on (mbp in clamshell mode). I messed around with the settings before, disconnecting my apw, turning the settings on and off, but I really cant be arsed this time round. Will just wait for apple to sort it out.

I have an update waiting for me 12.2.3, maybe that fixes things, I'll try it out later. After my shower this morning, my apw said it had updated, who knows what's changed and what's caused this.

Right, scratch that, I decided to spend 1 minute on it max, any longer and I would leave it for an update.

I turned the setting on and off in System Pref > Security and Priv > General > Use your Apple Watch... it works again ??

Is it just me? This works maybe 30-40% of the time and has since Big Sur? And even if it does work, it sits there and thinks about it, usually faster to just use Touch ID.

Mine suddenly worked again a few weeks ago but was broken again the next day. I hadn’t done anything to make it happen.
