I've noticed that with Transparency mode on, but not when ANC is on.So those that aren't having issues like fit test problems, or hearing feedback from walking etc. If you tap the airpods while ANC is on can you hear that tapping amplified? Like someone tapping on an open mic.
Thanks...my first set exhibited that after a month or so, the second set just started doing that....as well as some rattling...I've noticed that with Transparency mode on, but not when ANC is on.

Yeah I agree. The new firmware has certainly addressed the walking issue as I can no longer hear my footstepsThat used to be horrible for me, as was walking, eating, even yawning, but the new firmware has addressed all of that. It's like cabin pressure has been reduced. I used to always remove the Pros before eating and didn't like walking with them, absolutely not a problem now though.

Had the AirPods Pro for quite a while now, always been on 2B588. After updating to 2D15 there is a definite improvement in overall sound quality, the sound-stage seems much wider. I'm certain this isn't placebo for those wondering.
Regarding ANC I have yet to notice much difference, which to me isn't really a bad thing. One example is I can start my car and genuinely not hear it at all with ANC on.

It does sound as if your pods are faulty. Speak to customer support and get some replacements.Well I finally got the new firmware (from B) and still the same, also tried the blu tak...no go....
For Japan (and I believe North America), the warranty expiration date on replaced items is the duration of the warranty or 90 days, whichever is longer. Best to check the terms for your country, though, as there might be exceptions due to local consumer-protection laws.It does sound as if your pods are faulty. Quick question for everyone. If you receive replacements, does the one year standard warranty start again?
Thanks. I just checked and in the UK, it’s assumes the remaining warranty of the original Apple Product or ninety (90) days from the date of replacement or repair, whichever provides longer coverage. For Japan (and I believe North America), the warranty expiration date on replaced items is the duration of the warranty or 90 days, whichever is longer. Something is not right then. I've always got mine to pass the test after a few readjustments. With comply I would think its should never fail.Just got my Comply tips in the mail (6 days early!). AirPods Pro still fail the East for test but the ANC seems to be doing ok. And they are definitely more comfortable.
I had this same problem with my Dekoni. I found an odd post where someone stated to suck on the inside mic to clear out the wax buildup on the mic and mine work now.Just got my Comply tips in the mail (6 days early!). I believe it’s inside the black grill.Where precisely is this inside mike on the AirPods? Is it in the big black grill under the tips? Or on the sides?
The tear down photos at hifigo confirm that an inward facing mic sits between the speaker and the grill.I believe it’s inside the black grill.
I posted this on the original firmware post for the last release but I think that thread is dead. Maybe someone can help on this firmware thread. I received a replacement AirPod for the Pro and the new firmware on that left earpiece is behind the case and the right so they won't mate in the case. I tried a number of things this weekend to force it to upgrade and nothing worked.
1. I left the case open with that earpiece only and it was paired to the iPhone
2. I did the same with both earpieces.
3. I tried it without power and with power.
4. I tried it with the case closed.
Nothing. Does anyone have any other ideas on how to get this to upgrade OR get these non-equal firmware versions to work together? I don't want to return my messed up one until I can make sure this one works at all.
So how does that spatial audio feature work exactly? Does it work with all content or you need to purchase specially formatted content just to use that feature?Yes it is unbelievable but it is true !!
I watched the other day "Birds of Prey" and the sound was coming from all directions !
Except when I deliberately was seeing upwards as in I held my head facing towards the roof/sky I thought the sound was coming from below versus it had to travel according to my head movement. If someone can test this and confirm !
5.1, 7.1, or Dolby Atmos sources. So how does that spatial audio feature work exactly? Does it work with all content or you need to purchase specially formatted content just to use that feature?
