Look at the date. It says 9/11/2009. That makes no sense.

Uhh....yeah it does if you live outside the US! With exception of Liberia, every other country lists dates on dd/mm/yy basis.

EDIT: Whoops - looks like several others beat me to it....

You guys are funny.

here's my notice from apple

Just got the email today about my i5. It has left China and is supposed to be at my door 9/13. My wait is almost over, and my wife can have the MacBook back. She is sick of me monopolizing it.

Holy great news batman! Can't wait for next week's benchmarks!! Don't really care for the i7 anyway, I want a i5 with 8gb ram :p

Super excited!

Hopefully, the i7's can't be too far behind.

**Clicks refresh button for the millionth time with hopeful expression**

Granted I did not order until last Thursday...

Well, appleinsider.com is claiming the i7s are also being shipped.. unless they made a mistake there.

I placed my order last week, so my status hasn't yet changed. :(

I read a review of the intel i5 at benchmarkreviews.com that actually tested the i5 paired with the same graphics card found in the new iMac and reported having some trouble with it. Here is the link: enchmarkreviews.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=361&Itemid=63&limit=1&limitstart=8

In contrast to Crysis, scene two of Devil May Cry 4 actually places Core i5-750 behind the Phenom II X4 965 and the Intel Q9450. It's worth noting, however, that we did run into a few software issues during benchmarking. At times, our Radeon HD 4850 would revert to PCIe 1.0 speeds when used with the Intel DP55KG motherboard. We're working with ATI and Intel to find the source of problem.

Hopefully that issue has been resolved for the iMac's.

ClubMac

Anyone order from clubmac? Anyone know how long it takes distributors to get the machines or do they just passthrough the order to apple?

I ordered my i5 from them. I originally was going to use Mac Connection but the nice saleslady there told me to try ClubMac as they MC charged tax to my state.

If sweetwater (sp?) is of any hint perhaps all these resellers get it this week too. If so I expect mine next week, at a $300 savings from buying off the Apple site!

I called my local Apple Store this morning and asked if the 27" iMac with i5 quad core was in stock yet. They said YES!!!!!!!!

I drove on down there right away, only to be told "they must have misunderstood what you wanted". We don't have them yet. AGGGGHHHH!!!
