I suspect my issue is related to entering @icloud for my Apple ID, when I’m actually signed in @Mac. Despite entering @Mac over 48 hrs ago with the ‘notify me’ link, I’m not able to apply.

Not sure this is the issue... I use @gmail.com for App Store and my main email... and an @me.com as my AppleID for devices... I entered the @gmail.com address... I got the email earlier in the week asking me to re-submit the request using my AppleID (@me.com). In a bit over 24 hours, I had my Apple Card invite, submitted the app and was approved.

Remember, some of the earlier posts mention a soft reset of the iPhone in order to see the offer.

- Click the up volume, followed by the down volume, the hold the power button until the Apple logo appears on screen. Then release the power button.

This may or may not do anything. I just know what others stated.

Yeah, not sure either. I also have a separate iTunes / App Store Apple ID, but didn’t use it in this case. I first used an iCloud email alias – nothing came of that. Lots of legacy IDs to make this go awry..

I feel like this could be solved if Apple would just move beyond the invitation system and ship the thing. But perhaps they’re not yet ready.

Ok, this is getting interesting.

Earlier, when using the link provided on other forums (https://wallet.apple.com/apple-card/setup/feature/ccs?), I got an error message to the effect of “the Apple Pay service is currently unavailable”.

Now, I get the following much more explicit message about the ‘Apple Card Preview’:

“Apple Card is currently available only to customers participating in the Apple Card Preview. Please try again later.”

Hmm...

Also just called AppleCare and asked to be connected to the Apple Pay team. The rep was very understanding; he took down my device info to escalate my invite issue to the Engineering team. He said he’d personally reach out by Tues next week. I encourage those with invite issues to do the same (took 10 min).

We are in the exact same boat. Word for word on the callback Tuesday and the engineering team! Will update with any news

I'm in the same boat...I think I legit used the wrong email when doing the notify since my iCloud associated email is no longer my primary email. Got the email on Tuesday saying my invite is waiting, entered the correct email on the site. Here it is Friday and I'm still waiting. When I go into Wallet and press + then Continue, nothing. I thought maybe it was because I was on IOS 13 beta. Fired up an old iPhone 6s running IOS 12.4, same thing. Have any of you had any luck by calling support? Was anybody able to get this pushed through with support's help?

Yes I have a callback on Tuesday. You have to call support and get transferred to the Apple Pay team and make sure they take your SEID down and escalate it to the engineering team.

Called and spoke to an Apple Pay specialist. She had me send my SEID. She'll be calling me back on Thursday to give me an update if I don't hear or see something sooner. Sigh...

I noticed today that the email address they used to let me know that my invitation was waiting was the correct Apple ID email address so now I'm thinking I used the correct email address all along. It's very baffling to me.

FYI, I just got the follow-up email telling me to go to the Wallet app to apply. about 24 hours after the fact.
I have re entered my email twice. No email invite yet and still nothing in the app. If I follow the link above I get the “only available to preview members” message. When I got that first invite that never worked they told me I should have a real one 48 hours after I re did it and so far it’s been 72.
[doublepost=1565999665][/doublepost]I feel like Apple Card will be out to the public before they ever figure out why our invites never worked.

Sadly I agree with you. In fact I wonder if the general public will get the cards before us because now our IDs are compromised in their system and they can't seem to figure out how to get this all sorted out.

At that point it won't matter because it won't be checking your account for an invite it will just let everyone apply

That was just for processing the Invites. That was a one-time issue
How do you know that it’s a one time issue that the UI for the Apple Card that detects Apple IDs only isn’t seeing our emails as Apple IDs right now? Pretty sure you don’t have confirmed knowledge on that and you need an Apple ID for the card no matter what when applying for it. And proof for needing an Apple ID is that you earn Daily Cash through Apple Cash and you need an Apple ID for that

I too got the issue of my email not being recognized as an iCloud account I’m logged into even though I used the one stated within settings on my iPhone. I called Apple Support today and was told that the engineering team has a large open ticket for the issue and that my case will be added to it. Unfortunately I was told that I won’t get a follow up call until Friday afternoon.

Hmm....Apple seems to have mishandled this process. Not a good look for Mr. Cook. Problems on the Goldman Sachs side will be upcoming....

Because I have spoken to apple twice now and they have explained to me what happened. It was a server issue not a UI issue

It works now, Apple must have just fixed something. Try adding a card in Apple Pay.
