To get the 5%, you have to spend $15k first and then the 5% is not even retroactive to the $15k? Somebody should tell Apple that insulting your customers' intelligence isn't usually an effective promotional technique.

Wells Fargo Active Cash card gives you 2% cash back on EVERYTHING. No promotions or gimmicks. You don't feel compelled to spend more than you should.

I hate this kind of marketing where some MBAs think they're going to fool the consumer in spending more because they read something in a marketing book. They're as useful as the HR department.

It's misleading stuff like this (details for this offer will be buried in the fine print) that lead to the CFPB fining Apple and Goldman Sachs nearly $90 million

My plan:

1.) Maxed out Mac Pro
2.) Mac Pro wheels
3.) Pro Display XDR
4.) Display stand with tilt
5.) … ?
6.) 5% cash back unlocked.
7.) Ramen for dinner until April 2025.

/s if needed.
Or better yet, you can get 751 Apple Cloths for that price!

I wish this had been offered a month ago. I would have definitely been able to make use of it from the Apple toys I bought. Unless one is already planning on making some large purchases, this isn’t really a good deal.

Ummm... are you sure?

Take a look around you...

... Through Holiday Season

wow, holiday season runs now thru the eo April!!!!!
Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, Ramadan, New Years, Chinese New Years, St Patrick’s Day, Valentine's Day, Groundhogs Day, 4/20. It’s a long season really

If you're putting over 15k a month on a credit card you're either fabulously wealthy and don't care about this deal or you're soon to be bankrupted with interest.
Wrong on all counts, I easily put over 15k on my Apple card over the holidays every year... I am not fabulously wealthy... I do very much care about this deal... and I haven't paid a single penny in interest in many many years now.

Offers like this work if you own a load of bars or something and buy from all your suppliers this way.

I will never cease to be amazed at MR comments:

Step 1: A product exists.
Step 2: A promotion is made on said product.
Step 3: Post a complaint that the promotion isn’t good enough.

Or like me and can pay rent with a credit card without fees still 😎

Some executive some where in some fancy boardroom said “ great idea “ - too bad they are waaaaaaaay out of touch with the general populations ability to afford basic needed items. This promotion is painful ignorance .

Read the details. This is not meant to be for everyone. In fact, it's not even for everyone who may want to use it as it is specifically limited to select Apple Card users only.

Trash!! Spend 5k get 1-2% back then get 3% back for the next 5k. Anyone falling for this needs to look into rewards cards. Total scam

Total scam? Perhaps you need to look up the definition of scam.

Plenty of cards, especially those without an annual fee, don't offer any cash back at all.

I would assume the $5,000 to $15,000 thresholds are for the life of the promotion, not per month. Also, you are very much mistaken if you don't think plenty of "wealthy" people care about credit card deals/offers.

How does this interact with Apple Card financing with stuff from Apple? Would it be that it has to be ordered between Nov and Apr, or would it be the monthly payments that occur during those months?
I don’t know for sure, but I think probably the four and five percent would still apply. It wouldn’t drop down to three percent on installments made after April 2025. The installments program operates separately from the Apple Card, you won’t see the Daily Cash until you pay each installment, but it is accounted for when you make the purchase.

This could be an incentive to act quickly if Apple has a March or April 2025 event introducing the M4 Ultra Mac Studio/Pro refresh and the new 8K 120Hz Pro Display XDR. Pro users could easily spend $15K then and there, just for one seat’s worth of hardware.
