Yep, I am extremely happy.

Not only with how I was handled, but with time machine aswell.

I just clicked transfer over from time-machine upon starting this new bad boy, and an hour and a bit later, I have the exact same computer I was on yesterday. Same wallpaper, same bookmarks, same app's, UN REAL. Same everything except for the extra .4 ghz processors and larger hard drive, and ilife '09, but I can live with those extras.

I'm so going back to Future Shop tomorrow to get a iMac. I was having doubts, but this is just over the top and I've experienced the same great customer service when dealing with apple about my ipods, iphone, etc.

Thanks for posting this up. Tomorrow I can feel proud being a Mac owner for the first time and I think this type of care far outweighs the benefits of buying another brand or building like I had planned.

That's incredible! I had no idea that Time Machine could back things up to that degree. I'd just assumed that any major purchased software like Photoshop etc wouldn't be transferable without jumping through all kinds of hoops. I'm extremely impressed!

Question: before you returned your Imac, did you wipe your drives to make sure your info wasn't available to be pilfered by some tech guy? I've always wondered what I would do in that kind of situation.

Congrats on the whole nine yards man!

You are lucky! If the same thing happens here, they will say the problem is caused by the user and also void your Apple Care!
