So do we have to redo it, as well as replace the damaged parts of the kingdom?
Yeah, and hopefully it won't roll back. I fixed the throughput issues last night, switched ports on my network switch and rebooted it. I think it got stuck in half duplex mode and started dropping packets. Sorry for the issues folks!

I'm trying out a new authorization plugin. You'll have to re-register, but I have saved our old database incase we want to revert to the old plugin.

Sounds good, +s/-s using this is one over the other one?

For those that are curious, a PowerPC mac is not really up to running a minecraft server. The java is so slow, that when I tried the server app on my dual 1.33ghz 2gig xserve g4, it was complaining about not keeping its speed when nobody was logged in.

I sincerely doubt even a quad G5 could run it with a few players at smooth speed. I blame this mostly on the old java on the powerpc systems.

I used to host a Craftbukkit server off of my dual 1.8 GHz PowerMac G5 with 4 GB of RAM, ATI 9650 XT 128 MB, and a 7200 RPM HD and it did perfectly. We got about seven players on it without problems. I am sure it could do a few more but we never had more than 5 online playing. That being said, I am sure that any Pentium 4 PC could easily do a better job.

Can you still just download the PPC Minecraft game OP posted and play your own world on your PPC Mac, without the server? If so, I am going to try this later tonight!

it says to enter a username. what do i do? i put in minecraft username and it didnt let me in

You need to put the 'minecraft' folder into Users > [username] > Library > Application Support. Then make sure the actual application is in the Applications folder.
