I recently acquired an Apple Cinema HD Display (23") secondhand, but when I turn it on, there is severe discoloration on most of the display. It is extremely washed out, except a small margin around the outside which appears to be a more normal colour (please see pictures below). I was wondering what the problem might be -- could it be a bad LCD, backlight, etc? I am aware these displays are quite difficult to repair, but I was curious if anyone has an idea.
