I’m new to Austin. Born in Chicago and lived in Houston for 20 years. I’ve been here in Austin since March of this year. Chicago always be the best city for me. But between Houston and Austin, I already like Austin way much more than Houston. Especially North Austin where I live.

If you want a list of places to eat/drink etc, let me know! Austin has a lot to offer!

Hi there. Hoping someone can help me - I'm originally in the 11/3 delivery and 4:30 PM departing Alaska group. Probably 48 hours ago, I requested a hold to pick up at my local UPS CC in NYC using the app. How do I know that this request has been approved? I don't have an exception on myups.com and the change just says "requested". My home address is also still on the right side of the screen in the "to" section. Thank you for your help. Excited for tomorrow!

Yeah man, throw that list my way. My wife and I are always down to try new places and events. Plus, it will keep us busy while we wait for our phones. Hahaha. Thanks.

This is exactly what I have too, and I’m also NYC. Hoping this is how it is supposed to be!

Someone explain CC pickups to me. Am tempted to do one, but will it push my date out this late? I dunno how long it’ll take them to finally show up at my house.

dude, if you don't know, just shut it and stop spreading fake news

on UPS site, in plain English

https://www.ups.com/us/en/shipping/services/value-added/hold-for-pickup.page?

No you’re the one spreading false news and I have done it and am glad I brought a utility bill because they asked.

So for everyone picking up with an ID different than the shipping address bring another proof of address, worse case you print another piece of paper (or pull it up on your phone).

You have to request it through the carrier. In my case, UPS. Then once the request goes through, they will hold it there for you to pick up. Date won’t change. Only thing with you is that it might be too late for the request to kick in on time. Your request might be submitted but by the time your request gets approved, it might be loaded in the delivery truck by then and it will be too late. That would be my guess on how that works.

I called UPS today about this exact issue. We're all set. It'll get triggered when it hits our respective CC's. They will hold it once it's there.

It depends if you choose a distribution center/cc (where it gets put on a truck) or UPS Store which could be closer to you. For some people like me UPS usually delivers to a particular UPS store earlier than my home route so I chose the store. Sometimes trucks don’t go to their particular store until their last stop - depends on the route. If you haven’t done it yet I wouldn’t pick a UPS store as an option (until you’ve tried it on another package).

Mine departed KY (live in the city) around 5pm. Assuming truck since no flight, but expect an arrival scan around 9:30 or 10.

Mine just hit Hodgkins IL at 9:02.

Funny how it always goes from China to Alaska then Kentucky on its way to the Palatine hub.
