Well those who slept will wake up with some round things with big teeth eating the world
Are there any upcoming flights scheduled after the 5:50 crew? 👀 Maybe some of us that overslept during boarding time will be on the next flight.

I’m not anymore . If this was 3 years ago, I would’ve purchased both phones but I scaled back for the last 2 years, so one phone a year and 1 Apple Watch every 2 years. I’m more excited about the 12 Pro Max than the S6, so I didn’t upgrade my S4.
Smart move even tho' it means I missed you on this flight. I'm on your schedule iPhone every year or two. Watch every 2 years. plus you can hang out with any group on macrumors :)

Oh I remember those days...waaahhh.

@ksujoel, I just ordered one. I couldn’t decided if I wanted one. It won’t come until the first week of November.
I finally ordered the Apple Clear MagSafe case for my 12 Pro Max. Mine won’t be here until late Oct. or Nov. either, but the case will be here before I can even order my 12 Pro Max. People have said that the Apple clear cases don’t yellow. I hope that is true for the clear MagSafe cases too.

I was just thinking, wouldn't it be great if Apple / anyone did a documentary film on the launch day timeline of an iphone, ...filmed on an iphone! Informative and marketing...
Being made in the factory, put into packaging, put onto truck to deliver to courier hub, onto plane, flight, customs, arrival, etc.....
Do 3 different stories to different parts in the world, and delivery to Apple store, home and business....
I'd watch that...

About right on time to be delivered Friday. By the time the plane hits Alaska and gets scanned in then to Louisville by Wednesday. From Louisville Wednesday out to the destination city hubs on Thursday. Out for delivery Friday morning. Pretty much clockwork every year.

Hmmmm this is MUCH earlier than prior years. Last year, my phone was apparently in Louisville the morning of launch day. I still received it on time, but this is much, much earlier. I feel like people get so offended at the mere thought of an early delivery. I never said it was gonna happen, just that given what I’ve seen so far, combined with 2020, I *would not be surprised*. I am not sure why some people take that as a personal insult and have to remind me of the UPS and Apple agreement that they have never actually read lol I have been doing the whole preorder/tracking thing since the iPhone 4.

Question to those who experienced the preorder in previous years;

Has there ever been a release year where people had earlier delivery estimation by UPS ? (As in this year’s)

I’m pretty sure since my tracking has said ready for ups coming from Kentucky for 2 days now with no other scans that I’m just waiting for these phones to make their way from China to KY so it’s nice to hop on here and see where it probably is at this point! Maybe sometime tomorrow I can join in on seeing some action on my scan!

Not for iphone, besides a few lucky people who had them slip through by accident.

I’ve been part of a few Samsung preorders that have arrived a couple of days early.

Since I have to go to the Apple Store tomorrow for my Genius Bar appointment for my iPhone 11 Pro, I decided I would order the MagSafe charger for pickup while I’m there getting iPhone serviced.

No, a few slip through though. UPS/FedEx are required to hold them until the launch day.

It’s not very in depth, but Buzzfeed made a video a few years with Angela Ahrendts about launching iPhones. Mildly informative, but I’d love a more detailed version like you described.
