I’m in the 10/30-11/3 club. Finally got order placed at 8:10 ET on website after Apple Store App was stalling. Gonna be first phone not received on launch day. Still optimistic it’ll show up a few days earlier than 10/30. Still “processing” order though.

For those asking the question, "How late can my phone leave China and still be delivered Friday?" in years past the latest (and my time zone is PDT, so adjust for yours) I have seen a plane leave China and the phone still be delivered on Friday is 2am Thursday. The phone has to be in Louisville in time to be sorted onto flights leaving between 1 and 3 am Friday (again, that's my time) to local airports in order to be out for delivery that day. It has always seemed to me that physically, a plane could leave later and still get there in time, but there's always other stuff that gets in the way (customs, for one).

Again, this is from my past experience, and of course, this year is unlike any other year, so take it all with a grain of salt. But stuff can really move quite fast around the world.

I just went and looked at the iPhone 11 thread from last year. My phone had an arrival scan into ZhengZhou on 9/16 (Monday) and then I didn't get any tracking updates until the import scan took place in Louisville the morning of the 19th (Thursday). When the import scan showed up so did all the previous tracking history.

I imagine the same thing will take place this year and my phone is currently sitting on a pallet somewhere at UPS Worldport. The only difference being the arrival scan at ZhenZhou was on a Sunday this year. At least it has other phones to keep it warm until the pallets are broken down. I have faith most of us that have a 10/23 delivery will get our phones on Friday. Not getting the tracking updates really does take a lot of phone out of preordering though.

I almost wonder if Apple and UPS delay updating the tracking on purpose after they caught on that we go nuts for this stuff. Maybe it decreases the number of calls they receive about people wondering where their phone is? Although, I would almost think it would be the opposite and people would be calling worried because their phone has been "sitting in China for 4 days."
So, we're expecting to see an Import Scan tomorrow morning?

Yes I think iPhone 11 Pro Max is capped at 7.5W or 10W as compare to iPhone 12's 15W wireless charging speed as you mentioned. I have Airpod Pro on charging for about 45 minutes and they got little warm too. Yes PD & compatibilty both affects the charging speed.
I almost always charge overnight so speed is not that important to me. I have the Case-Mate 3 in One wireless charger for iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods. Love it! Works great.

So I hate to be "that guy" but am I doing something wrong on trying to track by reference #?
If I put in my order# minus the last 2 digits it says no matches
If I put in phone # I get a SUPER generic looking screen that just says "in transit delivery schedule 10/23" with no other info or anywhere else to click.

I am a 8:01am order with 10/23 delivery on Apple site, iPhone 12 64gb blue.
"preparing to ship" is what Apple order status says.

After Friday I’ll take a 2 weeks break from this thread to recover energies and be back for the 12 mini pre order marathon :)
We don't have much time left. It's next week and then the week after Pre-Order begins again. Not too long to go ;)

I may have to make a captain and coke, then.
Get it! It's an awesome device.

Also try order# minus 1 digit. Some people have had that work for them.

I’m holding off on MagSafe. It would go by my bedside, and my slow wireless charging pad gets it done overnight. I’ve got cables everywhere else.

Maybe if I get a gift card.
That’s the same boat I am in. I wouldn’t mind a flashy new toy, but the standard wireless charger near my bedside charges it full overnight, so I wouldn’t benefit from the speed at all. But it does look cool....

Actually this is not true. I reached out to Apple customer service and they confirmed the 18 watt USB-C brick will work on the 15 Watt MagSafe.

EDIT: They also said it would still charge at the full 15 watt power.
Wow! That is interesting. I thought they said before that you needed a 20 w charger? Maybe that was just implied, to get us to buy another Apple product?

I need to pay my Apple Card down a little bit, LOL. I already have a MacBook and would have a hard time justifying getting the Air... help me justify it, @Theyayarealivin
