It will be, but if the sim-free model date slips out, then getting a carrier model at full price is unlocked so that would be another option if you wanted to secure a launch day device.
Does anyone else here live in South Korea? I pre-ordered on Oct. 23rd which was the first day pre-orders opened here and my estimated arrival date said Nov. 9~16. Just checked now and delivery has not been updated yet. Was hoping I’d get my phone this week but I guess that’s not happening 
just got my shipment notification! expected on the 11th, originally quoted from 20th -30th so i’m happy
Turns out UPS "lost" my shipment for the iPhone 12 Pro, meaning it was stolen. I used UPS mychoice to reschedule deliver about 6 days out from original date, it was supposed to arrive today and it didn't. UPS says its pretty much gone and they can't find it. Time to file a claim...

Mine came into Louisville at 12:31 am but there is no departure information for the flight to Milwaukee yet. The delivery date is still unavailable.
You will likely get an import scan today and it will be on the truck, which will depart around 1 pm to 2 pm. I live in WI as well and mine departed around 1 PM - 2 Pm and was on the truck, then got to Lafayette, IN, then to Oak Creek, WI then to Madison, WI.

No, you will get it tomorrow. It's impossible to get it on the same day when it departs from Louisville. And yes it will be on the truck.
Still sitting at worldport SDF. UPS says 11/6, so maybe a slow truck ride today to greensboro then on to charlotte. It's still a week ahead of the Apple expected delivery date, so UPS probably doesn't feel the need to keep it moving.
Well, not always. Our Apple Watch 6 arrived at 11:30pm and was on a 4:30am flight the next morning to Charlotte and delivered the same day. Our other iPhone 12 arrived at 10:30pm and was on a 4:46am flight the next morning to Charlotte, delivered same day.
It actually depends when the import scan occurred and depending on the location. I'm saying from my experience, if the import scan occurred later in the afternoon, then it will likely catch a plane and then directly to Milwaukee, WI and then on the truck to Madison, WI. Most of my pre-orders had an import scan in the morning and was on the truck departing at 1 pm to 2 pm.
Likewise, it all depends on location.
OK, just clearing up the "impossible" portion of your comment, so the "depends on location" or timing of import scan might have been a better lead in.
No that "impossible" I'm referring to on my other post is, it's impossible to get a same day delivery based on location. So meaning you wouldn't expect out for delivery today when it's still in Louisville, KY.
So all the carrier models are unlocked ? If you pay in full?
Yes, as long as you don't use the AT&T 30 month payment plan. It will be locked until paid off.
