Our iPhone 12 didn’t leave China until the Wednesday night (USA Time) before the Friday delivery. And it’s only Sunday night here, so plenty of time to hang out in duty free and/or the departure lounge

Edit: AND we had notes in the UPS file about mechanical failures, charter flights, etc. So i should just stop hitting refresh on the UPS site...

Nice to you. Cause I tried to do that through social networks support and they didn't wanted to say my tracking number.
It’s coming to my office and since I deal with them on a daily basis, I guess they were inclined to give it to me.

Only reason any of us have tracking is because of ups my choice accounts. Shows up there before  provides you with tracking.

you can also use your phone number (10 digit) and track by reference but it won’t provide you with the tracking number or updates. Just that the package is in the system.

I had my tracking number since yesterday when my label was created.

Just got an email that my Apple Care is active. Hopefully we see movement in the next 24 hours.

I'm not trying to make it sound 'ok' but perhaps trying to explain that it's not Apple 'jipping' their customers because a trillion dollar company wants to make a few more bucks this year. They don't price devices based on public perception in a pandemic especially one where they sent their own employees home for months and then paid them even though their stores were closed and found other roles for them within the company when necessary.

Of course you are free to continue to believe that such a company makes decisions only to cheat it's customers for an extra buck. I'm not sure why you would want to patronize that kind of company and further encourage it's behavior but you do you.

And by the way the term you were reaching for was 'gypping' which is a derogatory term.

I didnt say jipping. I would say increasing bottom line for investors, quarter reports and pockets. And actually they did increase this year. They took out charger and headphones so now you have to buy it. So it was a way to increase without looking like an increase. (Which if you don’t have an IPhone 11 you have to buy a charger.) They increased the other models prices while taking out the charger and headphones as well.

I don’t think they put the customer over the bottom line or environment, in my opinion. But what company does?! I’m not saying they are the only ones to do this and how dare they. I say to all corporate greed, how dare they. Making the MagSafe charger the only one to charge at the higher wattage. I mean it’s just big brother beating on us some more and saying you can only give “us” your money.

Again they aren’t the only ones to do this.
Really I’m just mad they don’t manufacture in the USA. I get it, it’s more money. But it should be their duty to put more into our economy, keep the jobs here and less for other country’s.

It *should*, but I've had a couple of times where UPS has had issues stopping a delivery that was scheduled for home. It's only happened probably twice in years, but once I had to race home to pick up a package that showed delivered.
Luckily for this I’ll be home. I am redirecting it because I would like to get it at 10 and not 4pm. UPS usually comes around near 4 here and have been pretty consistent.
