I’m no Einstein but I’m also not an idiot. Yet I cannot figure out how UPS maps its routes. My phone came up from the suburbs to my rural area, passed my main road, way passed, and is now headed back along another back and forth pattern.
They came to my neighborhood circled my house for 2 hours, passing my street about 5 times. I'm in a suburban area. Supposedly they map their routes to have as many right turns as possible to save fuel. IDK if that makes a difference in a neighborhood like mine with twisty roads and little traffic.

A quick size comparison.

iPhone 12 PRO MAX v/s iPhone 12 PRO.

Received mine at work and had to install iOS 14.2 before it could start the transfer. Now I'm in 'Preparing to transfer', which it originally said would take 3 hours. First time doing a direct transfer rather than downloading from a icloud backup.

I will say, I'm not impressed with the graphite color. Not that it matters, as a Pitaka case will be covering it. Also, of course it's big and all, but I'm not sure I like the feel of the squared sides. Time will tell, but the rounded edges of the 11PM seemed to provide a more secure purchase of the phone. Hopefully I'll get to play with it soon, but until then, I guess I'll get some work done...

It started transferring as I took a pic with my Surface. 6 hrs...

Thanks,

Arrived at 12:30pm, no signature required, separate UPS driver delivered my iPhone Pro 12 Max Silver 256gb. All is good. I had to update its firmware to 12.4. Wonder what it came with? See you all again in maybe another 3 years.

I wonder why they used UPS this time. In the past, all my Apple products always shipped via FedEX. UPS takes all day to deliver to my house and FedEX is always late morning. Mine probably won't show up until 8pm or so. :(

All iPhone releases for a while now have been UPS.. their logistics are the reason our phones have gone from China to my doorstep in 4 days.

5X zoom looks like money! That 12X is still a wee bit faded in the back, and not in a great way. Still much better than previous revisions. Damn it, this UPS truck can't come soon enough.
They look better on the phone but I was impressed with the 12x. Way less grainy as previous. Can’t wait to really get in on the night time portraits and night mode on all Cams!
