Very strange. iPhones are a signature required item. That is is the reason why UPS didn't leave mine when nobody answered the door today. If your iPhone had turned up missing after he delivered/released it with no signature, your UPS guy would have some explain to do.
My driver said they didn't need a signature, but he did need to verify someone was home to receive it.

How accurate are the UPS live map trackers? The tracker for my phone has shown the truck sitting about 20 blocks away from me for hours. Surely that must be wrong?

Well I got mine! I went through the normal Verizon activation steps and it showed service for a while, but it hasn't worked so far. I upgraded to iOS 14.2, and now it showing no service. Hopefully restoring from my backup will help things. If not, off to call Verizon!
Edit: Looks like restoring from the backup fixed the issues with the service!

I did set a default location in my My Choice preferences to leave my package as UPS for whatever reason will never leave any package for me if there is no answer. Super irritating.

White Mini-256 delivered just after 5p EST to ATL . . .

. . . waiting for SO to clock-out from {remote} work before I peel back the layers . . . and *cough* to use her iP11P to snap some size-comparisons next to my venerable iP8 ;)

Very exciting <s>

Thank you to everyone for such an enjoyable ride :)

Regards, splifingate

My UPS map hasn't updated in 1.5 hours. Truck has sat at the same location. Getting close to the end of my 11:45-3:45 window. Starting to get nervous, sigh.

Got my 2 iPhone 12 Pro Max 512GB in Silver and in Pacific Blue.

The 0.4 kg most everyone has on their packaging from iPhone 12 to iPhone 12 Pro Max is plainly wrong.
I weighted both

My truck has passed by my apt no less than 1000x today. The driver is back in my neighborhood. So much for 915-115 delivery. Maybe “by 9p”

OMG!!! Apparently, there’s a glitch with Follow My Delivery. It still shows the vehicle at the Hub, but the driver just delivered it right now! I showed it to her on my phone, and she said “wow! That’s so weird!”. Gonna go unbox now. Now I’m happy again!
Yeah that map seems cool, they need to work out a few kinks - also let me know that UPS guy may not be Driving, call you back a big brown UPS truck! 😆
