The Power Nap function. The disclaimer at the bottom says:

"2. Power Nap requires a Mac notebook with built-in flash storage. May require a firmware update."

Does this mean only MacBooks shipped with an SSD are compatible, or is my mid-2010 MBP with an aftermarket SSD that I installed going to support this new feature?

Does anyone know anything about the Gatekeeper?
According to their featurelist, all it seem to do is to check if it's an autorized Apple-developer who made the app you're trying to install.

If that's the case it's not actually good for checking if a downloaded file contains malware since it will only scan it for an Apple Developer-ID and check if he/she is authorized and not actually SCAN the file for malicious code.

He gave several examples on his post. The typing indicator in Messages for instance has been available in iChat for ages. How is that a new feature or even anything "new" worth noticing for that matter?

They didn't say it was a revolution, they just said it was new to Messages.

In that one place
Tap for Quick Look

Instantly preview files with a three-finger tap on the trackpad.

For when the Space Bar is too difficult.

Photo Stream screen saver

Choose Photo Stream as the source for your photos, and showcase your most recent shots while you’re away from your Mac.

Isn't there already an option in Screensaver to use the latest photos imported?

That's weak Apple, super weak...
The feature almost certainly requires some kind of chipset specific function, as it needs to run while keeping the computer in its lowest power state. Most existing laptops would probably just think they're in use again and start spinning up fans etc.

AirPlay's restriction to chipset features however is a much weaker argument, as many machines could easily support it without the QuickSync instructions, but Apple has decided not to bother, meaning none of the Mac Pros (most of which should be more than powerful enough) get to use it as far as I can tell.

I'm very happy that Apple have restored Save As, although I agree it's a bit cheeky effectively calling it a new feature.

Is there a list anywhere of features that aren't on Apple's feature page? I'm interested in what exactly the graphics optimisations are, changes to OpenGL etc, or are these only available in the dev centre?

I was doing "like" as in Facebook "like" since somebody did +1, haha

Although I do agree with the typing indicator. When I first did iMessages when it came out, and I saw the typing indicator, when I saw it I immediately thought of iChat
