I'd rather Apple focus on making their products better.

I like that Apple customer support isn't outsourced to India, like Dell.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_0_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5B108 Safari/525.20)

Wow... sweet deals!
But still, a PC is a PC, and you can't change that.
Could this great idea by Dell be out because sales aren't doing so great? Maybe...

Espresso and donuts while you wait, hmm ... might change things.

Of course once they offer that level of service, dropping the calories might make people run back to Dell.

Dell is losing money and looking for incentives to get customers. Good idea. However, for me, I see it as slightly cheapening the brand. I'm not buying perks, I'm buying a computer.

Please don't pull facts and figures out of thin air - it only gives PC fans the opportunity to look at us Mac folks and call us kool-aid drinking nuts who don't know what we're talking about.

In their latest respective income statements, this is what sort of money Apple and Dell each brought in:

Apple:

Revenue - $31billion
Gross Profit - $8billion
EBITDA - $6billion

Dell:

Revenue - $62billion
Gross Profit - $11billion
EBITDA - $4billion

I wish I was "losing money" to the tune of $11,000,000,000 profit.

Are some Apple fans so ignorant that they just assume all the other PC vendors lose money hand over fist?

I just updated my I POD to 2.0 and I had a problem with it actually i still do It doesn't play through my I POD interface on my car.
Anyway when I called apple technical support I got India so apple is sending their tech support to India.
Looks like they are following everybody else.
