Yeah, it's Ukrainians who've invaded their own country and are killing themselves by thousands.

You shouldn't blame Hitler too, that was Allied propaganda.

Mate, your "it's not that obvious" bullcrap (which is LOVED by Kremlin botfarms, by the way) was rendered null and void the moment russia openly invaded sovereign country. They are evil. They kill people. Period.
Regurgitating propaganda media from both sides doesn’t make your view any valid from the opposing side. But hey I understand people like the simplicity of antagonist and protagonist roles as their moral being can sleep at night with one eye open thinking the boggyman is always on the prowl.

Doesn’t seem right to me. Imagine buying a toaster oven that is smart and the manufacturer plays politics and next thing you know your smart toaster oven is bricked. Governments should keep out of private businesses and business should keep out of politics. If a company wants to sell a product or service in a specific country it should consider those countries laws if it aligns with their principles as a company before following the $$$.
TDH i don't give a flying fart when Nazis in Germany were bombed into pieces. And modern russia is the true Fourth Reich. Just watch their state TV - it is hate, racism, genocide and chauvinism all day every day.

And they do that all day every day in Ukraine. And population cheers.

Shutting off some consumer electronics is nothing.

Succumbing to the "both sides" thing is really dangerous

"Both sides" are not "equally egregious" and reducing things to that framing rewards those acting the worst

Regardless if you like it or not, every country is spewing propaganda. If you believe that US is different then you are either too young and should consider reading some history books and doing research.

That is literally one of the narratives, pushed by kremlin. They are very good at sowing FUD on industrial scale - the goal is for anyone with critical thinking ability to fall into "both sides" trap.

Here's your example.

So if one falls on either side that means their actions are morally justified because hey no one ever believes their are wrong.

I like Apple a little bit more now, keep up the good work, let's make more smart decisions #boycotttwitter.

Why Russia? Odd. Why not cut access for the UK instead? The UK asked for backdoor access. Apple should have exited the UK market. Dumb move, Apple.

Honestly. I am surprised that anyone would blame a population for the government policies.
I live in Sweden, and do I agree with our government in all things, or the overlords in the unelected European parliament?
Plus the divisive politics in the US, where half of the population disagree with the other half.
So please. Don't beg for the shutdown of all Apple's products in ANY country.
Just look at UK's recent accomplishment, shutting down iCloud security for its population.

What happens when the winds change again, and we have the next governments. Should our tech gadgets be revised or locked down because it might not be approved?

AFAIK russians still available to enjoy banking apps by installing them directly by visiting a bank and hanging them their devices with a password. I hope this closes the loophole also I have dozen of relatives who rely on it and it will impact them, I still support this move. They can't pretend war is not happening.
There is no war in ba-singh-sei.

Great news. Now Russia will realise Apple and Google has too much control on the market and will start funding FOSS and Linux as alternative. Just like Valve is creating SteamOS to break from Windows.

Rewind this up by some days, weeks and years before this action. Look as far back as 2014.
He asked you a simple question, you are evading his question.
Russia invaded Ukraine 3 years ago, it's that simple.
The same goes for Hamas a while ago, history does not matter here, fact is that both Rusia and Hamas started this crap.

Apple has complied with local regulations by removing certain applications, such as VPN services and specific news apps, after requests from Russian authorities.
You mean "requests".

"Nice app store you got there. Would be a shame if something...'happened' to it."

I see.

Those who are unburdened by what has been will be unburdened by what will be.

Without the past you will not have a future.
History does matter but not here, it was a simple question, fact of that question is that Russia
invaded Ukraine, history has no place in that question.
