Same story here. It's really difficult to reliably make contact with the charging contacts, and I frequently open the case and find one of them to be low on battery or completely dead. I otherwise love this product and hope that the next version has improved charging.
Exactly same issues I have.. hopefully they figured out a fix for this. I hate getting to the gym and finding out one of them are dead.

Apple discontinues products on occasion (hello, SuperDrive), and Apple regularly replaces products with an updated version (hello, iPhone). But I can’t think of the last time they discontinued a product months before an announced replacement arrived. Their MO is to keep selling the old until the day the new takes an over. I mean, they will let stock dwindle and such, but they don’t outwardly discontinue it.

The closest I can think of is the iMac Pro, which I think was discontinued for about a year before the Studio and Studio Display were introduced. But that was part of the whole pro line debacle in which nothing was standard MO.

Pretty cool, I've had mine for years and still use for every workout. Phone calls have been no issue. I do, however, have the same charging problems other posters have. I've learned to babysit them pretty well, and on the occasion I do open the case before a workout to find a dead earbud, they charge pretty dang fast after fixing the connection; 15 minutes of charging is plenty for a 1 hour workout. If they come with ANC for a decent price I'll likely buy.

As a backup I use Status Between earbuds. Interesting product, above average sound quality.

PowerBeats 3 were the best they made for working out; I still buy them refurbished when I can. I will pick up these new ones, though!

These were my favorites until they came out with the Fit Pro ear buds.... which have never once fallen out of my ear and are much more comfortable. The fin hook design was genius.

Can't understand why people buy AirPods at all - feature for feature parity, better design, and they don't fall out of your ears.

I can't use Airpods. They just fall out of my ears. I wish they would bring the ear hooks to Airpods or at least continue with the ear hooks on any new PowerBeats Pro they may release. I'll keep using my PowerBeats Pro as long as they hold up.

The buds are staying.... this is just the over the ear model which isn't much different though really out of date in comparison. Agree - the Power Beats Buds are the #%#A)%#.

It's been a few years since I had these and until reading your comment, forgot. That was why I ditched them - half the time I'd have one ear that worked or the second would die 5 minutes into a walk. Never had this issue with the Pro Buds and like them better.
