I got my iMac after Thanksgiving and was instantly not pleased with the display. I thought though it was just because of the God awful glossy screen. I just vowed to never buy a glossy screen again, and certainly not one for work were I actually need real display performance.
Man, I wish I would have done my research.
I ended up recalibrating my screen a few times, and got it to be livable, but it's very frustrating to use. Now that I know this is an issue, I'll pursue further.
I see there are some calibration profiles to download, so I'll give those a shot. I called Apple and they suggested doing a PRAM reset. The dude said if that didn't do it, they would replace it. That surprised me, so we'll see what happens and if I get the same story when I call back. I very much would rather just get it working to my satisfaction that deal with returns.
