But it's just so beautiful! So, I'm still pretty skeptical about iMac release on the 7th. Why such a small gathering?

I don't think it's possible to make people stop posting that picture. And lighten up. I've never seen a case where some annoyed member of a forum was able to successfully scold people into not posting a particular image.
Now out of all the designs i have seen this is by far the best. i think i would have severe trouble not buying one of those.
Why is everybody posting so called picture leaks. As far as I know there was never a picture online before the introduction or announcement of a new model.
I don't think anyone is implying that any of these are "leaked". They're just wishful-thinking mock-ups.
It's funny, though - I've never seen a fan idea that looked anything like the final product! This with all the talk of Apple's design being "predictable" lately.
And didn't Newsweek do it with the iPod click wheel? Or was that Time as well? Or do I not know what I'm talking about?

I've been waiting since March for this (Aug7th) orgasmic event.
The shape is not terribly ugly, but it's impractical.
The execution is flashy and cheesy. Translucency impresses at first sight, but so did neon pinks and lipstick script in the 80s.
The comparison to the work of Ive is laughable.
Me too. I don't even get it. What's that white thing in the center of the screen? Are we supposed to be able to see through the thing? The screen sure isn't very bright. Kinda weird looking although I suppose it looks "futuristic" and that's why people like the look.
The thing in the middle is the world's clunkiest optical drive. To access it, you have to turn the whole computer around.
That stand and the joint connecting it to the case/screen would have to be made out of a material not found on this earth to support that weight without wobbling every time you hit a key on the keyboard.
Ahh... a design that is so supernaturally transparent to the user is as near to an earthly paradise as I'll ever get...

I am with you brother... might as well stop posting the other horrible, tacky mockups as well... especially the ones with the iPhone on an iMac stand cocked sideways.
This statements is the truth... it goes along with the mockup above and every last one that I have seen so far... no one can do a good job with designing apple products and every single one looks disgusting. Even that fake keyboard that came out is terrible.
On the other hand... Ive may be loosing his touch if that keyboard turns out to be real and he designed it. I would rather have the guy who designed the see through iMac working for Apple.
