Apple Hints at Multitasking!!

3 totally accurate predictions made from the artwork:

1. It say "peek into the future" which obviously means OS 4.0 will let you time travel!!!
2. The 4 is white, so it will be a tad racist towards minorities.
3. The shadow get blurry at the top, meaning they're gonna improve the accessibility for the vision-impaired.

I'd believe that it would be implementing the A4 chip from the iPad or a better camera before i believe multitasking is the hidden message, but i was never good at these sorts of things.
 
Are you this analytical with everything else? To me this hints nothing and coming from a company who felt copy and paste was not important I doubt they would waste their time in coming up with an ad campaign that played mind games. In addition they use some advertising company and doubt apple would share this information with them to come up with this idea being they are very secretive.
 
Relax everybody. Apple loves to subtly hint at their upcoming announcements. They have fun with it, so why can't we?

On that note, I agree with the OP. Also (I'm having a little fun with this, but at the same time it's what I've been wanting for a long time), maybe part of the significance of the number 4 is a reference to multiple carriers (4 of them?) now carrying the iPhone.

I want a Verizon iPhone so badly. The majority of this forum hates Verizon and I have no idea why. What reason could you possibly have for not wanting as many people as possible have access to a product that they like?

Reallyzz? my dadda workzz at applez too and they sayz that the iphonez are goings to revise os back to 2.2.1

Not seeing any hints about anything that was in 3.0. There's an A1 in the top left, which is slightly interesting.

It obviously means that they made most of the changes to the dev kit so that developers could make use of more APIs. It looks like the icon for xCode.

Hopefully 4.0 focuses more on what the customer actually sees. I'm hoping for a different UI and an improved Springboard.

A1 is a paper size often used in technical drawing. :)

As for this image, it's fun to speculate, but I think we already know mostly that there will be some backgrounding... But I don't know that the 4 being in the background really signifies that... I see that as more of a teaser. Like saying, "I bet you have no clue what 4 will be like, suckaz!!"... And we don't. :)

I know what your sayin. Since this is the last year the iPhone will be on AT&T if if does make the switch to verizon I'll be switching to verizon once the 5th gen iPhone is released.

He seems to think that just because the contract with Apple and AT&T is up this year... that Apple is going to choose a new carrier for the iPhone.

I bet they'll stay with AT&T.

Yes.
If anything they will just release the iphone on multiple carriers not remove it from AT&T and sell it exclusivelly on another carrier.
