Apple Increases iPhone 15's Advertised Battery Lifespan

Double the 500 charge cycle for earlier iPhones thanks to the 80% battery charge optimization feature exclusive to the iPhone 15 series?

Will Apple be advertising this "feature" to push iPhone 15 sales?

My iphone 12 pro max is still chugging away at 86%. Hopefully the iphone 16’s battery stacking feature will improve the iPhone's battery life.

The 12-series battery life was not good for most people. Most likely due to the first gen 5G modems. The modem in the 13-series was more efficient and the battery life improved significantly. The 15 also seems to have good battery life and evidently longer lasting too.

Yes I've found the same. Launch day 15 Pro Max still at 100%. My 14 Pro Max was almost at 90% at the same point last year. I'd never seen it so bad! Also, I 100% of the time charge wirelessly on my 15 Pro Max, and use it hard every day.

I have a launch day 14 Pro Max and still at 96%. Do you have optimized battery charging turned on?

I turned that off and now use HomeKit automations to turn on/off my bedside phone charger. When the phone hits 80%, it turns off the charger. My phone ranges from 30-80% battery but never goes below or above (besides charging to 100% once a month). I have found better battery life when doing this compared to just the optimized battery charging setting.

No thats 95% of the 4559 mAh battery in my phone. It’s a larger capacity than the standard apple uses to measure for 14 PMs, 4323 mAh.

Either your battery has problems or how you use yours is very different from how I use mine.

Definitely not me. I use MagSafe exclusively and have had every Pro Max that has came out. 14 Pro Max has been the only one with horrific battery health for me.

This is my use case:
I have only full charge the phone 3 times by mistake and never charged overnight.
Always working between 40 and 80%.
Hardly ever use MagSafe.
Use the 5W charger about 75% of the time.
The phone has never left the snow belt to anywhere warmer. (We do get some kind of summer here, but nothing like in the south side of the country.)
