Apple Intelligence for UK users

Is Apple Intelligence now available in the UK? I understand that it was introduced in the recent 18.2 update. However, when I changed my language settings from English US to English UK, Apple Intelligence stopped working. Has anyone looked into this issue?

Yes it's working

You need to let the device download all the AI software before your able to do anything.

Yes I changed that setting. I even changed my language back to English US. But it still doesn’t seem to work for some reason.

Is there something I’m missing?

You also need to change Siri language to UK. If Apple Intelligence was working for you before with US system language, that means Siri was set to US English. After setting the system language to UK, your Siri needs to be changed as well.

Isn't it also related to where your Apple ID is created?
If its in the EU it won't work. So make sure the correct country is set in your Apple ID. If its created in the UK and you haven't changed anything i'd guess its ok.

It started working after a bit. Just had to be a little patient after changing the settings to United Kingdom 🙂

You also need to change Siri language to UK. If Apple Intelligence was working for you before with US system language, that means Siri was set to US English. After setting the system language to UK, your Siri needs to be changed as well.

Mine was created in the UK. I am not sure why it did not work right away, but it was fine after a while.

Well, I have made sure the settings are correct to UK English, and it’s coming back with US spellings!

Does anyone know if having your Mac on, in my case, UK English could be influencing my iPhone and iPad to changing their region or language? Because I like the voice note auto transcription, so I (try to) keep my iPhone on US settings, but the language keeps ruddy changing. (a) is this still necessary because part of me is fantasising that one day I'll just be able to naturalise everything back to God's own English dialect instead of this heathen American claptrap ... 😉
