Next week. Last year it was August 31. It’s usually at least two weeks in advance for the media outlets to start preparing in advance to make their arrangments in Cupertino.
I’m also in agreement that the event will be on September 12, followed by pre-orders on the 14th.
8-9 is a weekend 🙂
The Tuesday is 9/11 so that’ll not be used, so it makes the Wednesday the most likely.

Blur out the date and post a pic. I'd love to see the message/theme of the event, in Apple's exact words.... Oh, scanner broken I suppose?

I'd put my money on the 12 for the keynote. September 11 is essentially a Memorial Day and I can't imagine them holding a keynote on that day. I agree with the others that said invites next week (maybe 31), keynote September 12, preorders September 14 and street date September 21.
As others have said, invites around August 30th, event September 12, pre-orders the 14th and released the 21st. See historical dates here:

Not that I don’t believe you (Unless You’re being facetious), but why share something private information like this if you won’t post a picture specifically at least what it looks like for others to see Or in the least, leak it to Macrumors with the Keynote date redacted.

I’m sorry guys. I was mistaken. The invite I received was for my daughter’s school field trip to an Apple orchard and I was confused.
