My sisters house have three S3’s.

Original SBSS with 16gb RAM
Original aluminium with 4gb RAM
Recent aluminium with 8gb RAM

The original one with 4gb has update issues every single time. The other two never do.
There is no 4GB S3. The GPS model has 8GB and the LTE model has 16GB.

I was hoping I could get a few more years out of the S3. It's a reset machine at this point. It's surprising given apples focus on UX

The very first post in this thread shows a screenshot with 4gb capacity 🤨

I’m on about the original S3, at launch. The newer models Apple still sell have larger capacity.

That's the space minus what is taken up by WatchOS itself.

You can see here there is no 4GB model

Well now that is intriguing, I assumed the support page just showed the more recent version specs.

It’s intriguing because my sisters launch S3 shows 4gb capacity (well, 3.8 or something like that) but my nephews shows over 5. Both watches are empty of everything and the nephews has never had an issue updating. The original S3 must have another issue at play.

Good to know, thanks 🙌

AFAIK there is no "original" S3. They have not made any changes to it over its lifetime.

Fixed.

In theory. I will wait until users try it and relate their experiences before I will consider it fixed.
