But no keyboard folio case? I mean that’s my go to… I have a magic keyboard for my 12.9 2-18 IPP, but use the keyboard folio whatever it’s called case every day, daily, all the time. Lighter, smaller, just what I need. Not having that, or only having it be some third party is a bummer.
Totally totally agree….🙁

I share your pain! The Smart Keyboard Folio on my iPad Pro (3 gen) has been delivering perfect service for my use cases. I often have to fold the keyboard and use the iPad as a book. Not having the Smart Keyboard Folio available for the new iPad Pro is a no-go for me. I won’t buy the new iPad Pro (although I crave for more power) until I find a decent solution.
Any suggestions?
Is the Logitech Combo Touch for the new iPad Pro fully foldable (i.e. put the keyboard behind the ipad, without detaching it)?

Anyway, hopefully Apple will realise that the Magic Keyboard is not magic for all users!

I guess they won't bring back the folio keyboards in order to encourage people to buy the Magic Keyboard.
If that is their thinking, then they need to realise that not all users have an ipad to replace a notebook. I use the ipad as a tablet (strange, right?) and very often fold the keyboard at the back of the ipad …
Apple, please!

And well also, not all users have an extra $349+tax just lying around for a keyboard. Someone will fill this gap, logi, others, but I DO like the reliability and design engineering of the Apple based products in many cases

Does anyone buy these? I don't think I've paid more than $10-$15 for an iPad case on Amazon.
Yeah I do. Any 3rd party case I've bought ends up falling apart and looking like trash within the few months. The Apple ones seem to last me for years with only minimal signs of wear and tear. I see it as a case of you get what you pay for...

Is it still screen cover-side down when propping your iPad on a table?

U know, the felt part that covers the screen? Is that the part that comes into contact with the table surface potentially covered and crumbs and other abrasives? U know, the part of the folio that then picks ups said abrasives and proceeds to rub them into your iPad screen once folded closed?

When will the insanity end? ;_;
I always fold it the other way and it works just fine, but I find with a new one you do need to break it in a bit as it doesn't naturally want to fold that way initially.

I just received the iPad 11 M4 folio in Denim. I purchased because I thought my old folio would not fit. They are the same size as the previous version, but the folding edges are different sizes. I wonder why the fold is different. When I get the iPad on Wednesday. I will try both. If my old one fits, I will return the Denim one.

I tried selling my old on on eBay, but they sell knock offs, so no one wants to pay more than $15. I just purchased this folio a month ago for $79 from the Apple Store. I needed it, because I was traveling and did not want to damage my current iPad, because I was planning to trade in for new iPad.

I wish they offered a non-touchpad keyboard case. Much as they once did. I was rabid about the need for a touchpad until I got it. Now I am certain it’s an almost complete waste for myself. Additional cost and weight savings if they offered a case without it once more… and an additional incentive to break down my willpower resisting upgrading…

I’ve been on the fence about whether or not to upgrade to M4 IPP from my 12.9 M1. This might be a deal breaker for me as I, too, love my Smart Keyboard Folio — it most always goes with me while my Magic Keyboard stays at home in docking position.

No Smart Folio keyboard, no care. I much prefer its lighter weight and smaller footprint vs. the Magic Keyboard. Big miss IMHO. I have a MacBook and don't want to turn my iPad Pro into a laptop. Guess I'll keep the 2022 12.9.
100%. I‘m hoping Apple actually has plans to introduce a Smart Folio Keyboard for M4 later this year, and that they’re holding off so they can make the most money selling the uber-expensive MK to early adopters.

I was ok in not getting a folio keyboard. I use my iPad as an in between product. I have MacBook Pro M3 for my home office, and my iPhone 15 pro max for on the go. I want my new iPad for casual work around my home or for long travels. I don't want to make my iPad into my computer. I tried that before, and simply did not work for me. If they made MacOS available on an iPad, I would consider it.

My Apple Smart Folio for iPad Pro 13-inch (M4) arrived today. The flap can be adjusted to hold the iPad at three different angles (see below) - is this new for an Apple iPad folio? I'm upgrading from a first gen (2015) iPad Pro :D

The new case has an awful lot of magnets in it!

I noticed to today that new iPad 11 M4 folio does not work with the old iPad. The camera hole is different. The new iPad Pro 11 M4 camera hole is slightly bigger, and the back magnets do not work with old iPad. They must have placed them in a different area. Finally, old folios do not work with new iPads. That is probably why the old Magic keyboards and folio keyboards do not work as well.

I did not notice that on my new iPad Pro 11 folio. That's great that there is two viewing angles. I feel better that I purchased it now.

The picture that you have on the right - is that the denim color? I’m trying to see the real life picture of denim on these cases.

The Apple logo still isn’t horizontal for use in landscape orientation which is literally the goal of this product. The MKB gets that so why not the folio?

Are the magnets stronger than previous folios? My IPad falls off those sometimes. Undecided between this and the not yet released Zugu. Never had those but great reviews.
