Good for you.

Who the **** has the right to judge?

We all do. This site isn't anyone's personal fan club and if somebody posts a picture of something they did, it's silly to expect that people will be uniformly positive in their reactions.

Far from gives you the right to judge, now does it.

Everyone has the right to express there opinion especially on a public forum where someone posts with a picture.

IMO the apple symbol is not a bad tattoo but one on your chest as huge as that looks silly, i'm surprised the tattoo artist didn't mention that when they were going to do it.

Britain.
It's a bad picture.. sorry.

Get a tan, and the black will look a lot better.

As many people here know, I am a religious followe of St. Tropez - and my tattoo's (which are all black, btw, as the OPs) look a lot better when I'm tanned. Actually, they're gorgeous!

It makes it look large 'cos hes stretching his t-shirt and it fills the whole of the streched area. Topless and with a tan, it will look alright - acceptible at least.

Whilst we're on the subject: cut your hair. The opposite sex (to an extent) prefer someone who takes care of themselves.

Get a tan (and you'll look Apple-trendy, not Apple-nerdy, with that tat!) and your hair-did.

Thanks for the defense, but honestly, I'm not surprised nor bothered by the criticism. It's the internet, I'd be a fool to expect anything else. I suppose it is rather large, but oh well, I like it. And if Apple changes their logo (For the first time in 30 years) I won't care, because it's not like this will stop being an apple logo.:p

I'm gonna go get on the Zune forums and see if people are making fun of you guys now...
No one has the right to make fun of anyone with a Zune tat anymore.

PS -- I seriously hope Apple is paying you advertising fees.

Why would they? you don't pay for a billboard that faces a brick wall. Like most people, I wear a shirt, so unless I'm showing it to somebody, nobody sees it.:p

Are there REALLY any such things?

Yeah, who knew.
I only became aware of them because macrumors users made links to make fun of people that got a tattoo of the zune logo.

@Pants Dragon
You got a copy of THEIR logo, not YOUR logo.

Where did the good ole' days go when tattoo's were actually meant to express your own ideas, not someone else's?

Behind the lens
"I love Apple"

That's my idea.:p

Apple has only been around for 20yrs, and far less with that particular logo.

You being so young have a long time ahead of you to possibly fall "out of" love with Apple; change the logo, the technology they produce become obsolete as our fish masters enslave us all during the eventual collapse of the internets.

This could be viewed as a girlfriend name tat, who is to say in the next 80yrs something better or even way cooler may come along? At least a persons name is "personal" by definition. A corporate logo, is just a sign of the times here in the US.

My point being, if you got any tat, it must mean something to you. Even if its a record of that "awesome night in Cabo!" So, you obviously want to say something about yourself and I applaud you for that openness.

But I can not help my uncontrollable laughter at your choice of display for this meaning, both in size, location and color.

I'm glad you're not thin-skinned. I think a lot of people here could be more gracious in their criticism/opinion. But I guess that's the way the internet works.

Apple has only been around for 20yrs, and far less with that particular logo.

Apple has been around for 31 years as they were founded on April 1, 1976. They've been using the bitten apple logo for at least 30 or so of that. It was rainbow colored until 1999, but even now it's used in several colors and styles. The shape has been the same since '76.

Why did you think Apple had only been around for 20 years? They were already a huge company 20 years ago, having had massive success with the Apple II and having released the first Mac 3 years earlier.

You better hope that Apple doesn't continue its current 'monopolistic whore' trend. Cause in a decade it might be a symbol of hate. Then you will get that thing removed and a Linux penguin instead =)

Hahaha it's funny how many people are suggesting I get a tan, as if I didn't already know I was pale.:p It's almost Winter, and I'm not a fan of fake tanning.

Thing is, IIRC, the Zune forum members were all congratulating the big fat hairy man with the Zune tattoo. Whereas here we're all condeming the chap.

If a soaring majority of Apple fans on a forum don't like it this guy has no chance in the real world.

That may be funny, but what's sad is that you have a large group of APPLE ENTHUSIASTS on an APPLE ENTHUSIAST FORUM, saying how ugly your APPLE tattoo is...there's something to be said there...
