I'm not sure if this is just me... it may well be that I'm missing a setting, but whenever I have a long back and forth email chain with someone, it seems to get increasingly difficult to find the latest message in the long chain.

The message preview might show "message from Jim today at 12:59....", but when I click on it, it opens at a random message in the chain (outlined by blue). I then have to scroll up and down trying to find the right message - but even searching on a term I know is in the mail doesn't help.

So is it me or is it the app? Am I doing something really stupid (always possible)?

Thanks!

In Mail's Settings>Viewing, I have "Show most recent message at the top" checked. It does just what it says for my messages, no matter how many go back and forth.
