Hi all,

Mine's still not synching, returning songs. Have about 90,000 missing from my Mac, but all still seems to be on my phone. Don't know what to do next ? :(
I deauthorised and logged out of Apple Music / my account in the Music app on the Mac - deleted the current Music folder inside ~/Music/ and then created a whole new Music Library.

Perhaps try to just log out and possibly deauthorise

Thanks for trying to help Allan. Did the de-authorizing thing and re-authorized. For a time it might be doing something, but then this:

Cloud Status for purchased music (Bandcamp or whatever) has 'Waiting'. Is this something that needs to be completed before tracks can be added back?

Thanks again,

David

I saw that exact message very often yesterday. I only gave the whole thing time. It really sucks this

Same here, south of France. Last couple of days trouble syncing my cloud library, right after a Mac OS downgrade (from Ventura to Monterey on a 2017 MacBook Air). I thought it had something to do with using an older system software, so I installed Ventura again. Turns out that both my other macs (2011 iMac and 2020 M1 Mac Mini) suffer from the same problem: adding and downloading albums to my library works for 2 or 3 albums, after that the stupid 502 message appears, forcing me to restart Apple Music ... hope Apple resolves this issue soon.

Quick update - left the machine on (no sleep for it) overnight and the magic sprites did their thing, and a I woke up to almost a full compliment of songs, playlists and ratings. Huge sense of relief and phew!

Weirdly, would estimate that less than half a percent of tracks are still missing (I deduced from one of the shorter playlists by comparing same on the phone, there's a song by Alexandra Savior that I adore but has disappeared; the rest of the album is there, but not this one song) but overall pleased it's back. Have a theory that the 'waiting' cloud status thing is possibly relevant - in that it needs to match and / or upload those tracks before committing to adding everything else back to the library, hence why it took so long to resolve? Dunno, just guessing.

So, yes, just sleeping on it (and not letting the Mac sleep at all) worked here.

Cheers, David

The issue had resolved itself & things were working great for a day. Unfortunately, it is all f***ed again.

EDIT: Resolved itself once again. So we seem to have an intermittent issue.

Apple Music is running like **** at the moment. Searching is painful, hit play and it takes 10-15 seconds for play to start, forget skipping around a track as that is completely borked. Sigh.
