12.3.1 fixed the problem but then it stopped working. I did a restart on my Mac and after changing a playlist everything synced and life was good for a while. Next day it was not working again and another restart fixed it. Strange behavior!

Mine’s stopped synching again, same as before. I just had a three hour long playlist that I redid this morning revert back to the iCloud version when it synced. There must be a file on the Mac that’s getting corrupted.

This is the behavior I am seeing too... so weird! I would think Apple would make it a high priority to "fix" their music app...

Apple Support called me and I demonstrated with a video over the Messages. They have confirmed to me they have this in ticket known issue. They said we have to wait for next macOS update. It will be a long while and it is frustrating that we can't edit playlist from macOS Apple Music. Either do it on web version of Apple Music or on iOS.

I'm currently running with 12.3.1... when I first installed that update, this music issue was fixed... all worked as it is supposed to work... the next day, it stopped working again... when I reboot the computer, things work again (for that first day)... then it stops again... I have done this multiple times... everything works right after the reboot, then at some point (which makes NO sense) it just stops working again... until the next reboot...

Same problem here also. I installed the Mac 12.3.1 OS update and it worked after the restart but not after that. I have wasted so much time on this issue
I have 12.3.1 on my MacBook and Apple Music still doesn't sync properly.
I seemed to have found a solution that is a bit of a headache, if I make changes to a playlist, then make a duplicate, the n the duplicate will sync to my iPhone, then on my iPhone I delete the original and rename the duplicate to the name of the original, that seems to work.

I have 2 methods that seem to work a little bit, if I update any playlists on my MacBook then make a duplicate, then they will sync to my iPhone. or if I reboot my MacBook into safe mode, then they all automatically sync to my iPhone.

so it seems that Apple Music will only sync to my iPhone from my MacBook Air if it is in safe mode, it seems that there is something preventing it from syncing when it is not in safe mode, but I have no idea what would cause it to not sync.

I've just noticed something else. My Safari favourites do not sync from macOS anymore. Changes I do in Safari on my Mac are not visible on my phone.
So apparently the problem isn't limited to music. There is definitely something wrong with the current macOS release.

Didn’t fix safari bookmark synching though, at least not for me.

This issue is fixed for me in Monterey 12.4. The issue where Loving a song sends my Songs list all the way to the bottom of my library, which has happened for the better part of a year now? Still happening lol.
