Is anyone else’s also like…wildly inaccurate?
For example, 3 of my top 5 songs came from the same album (as in exact same, not a regular and then greatest hits or re-release. It’s a new album that came out this year and these weren’t singles) yet that album wasn’t in my top 5 and my top album was for a single song I listened to just 21 times lol, meanwhile the album for the above songs wasn’t even listed…
Yep lol. If this is a taste of what's to come from Apple's AI, I'm afraid.

I feel like my top artists and songs were generally accurate, but the actual numbers associated with them seemed all over the place.

I have been using Apple Music since launch in 2015 and like every other year it tells me to "start listening" to generate a playlist. At some point a few years back it came up out of the blue with Replay 2015 which proofs it can and should work, but no other years ever became available, now including 2023.

The two fixes that come up are annoyingly not helping:
1. Turn on use listening history -> has always been turned on
2. Listen to more music -> 8 hours a day not enough apparently?

Edit: after complaining about this every year I have found a manual way to view Apple Music stats on https://music.samthegeek.net/ going to give this a try.

It's weird that it doesn't play in the app and sends you to the browser, where you need to log in. So I gave up. 🤷‍♂️

My Replay 2023 playlist came out months ago and did not change although I had continued using Apple Music.

This is great, but why on earth won't Apple make this easily sharable like Spotify??

I'd love to tag my most listened artists as I share this on social media, but maybe Apple Music doesn't want or need the exposure.

Great Idea! Shame i can't subscribe and put these playlists into a folder Apple.

Why not do it in app instead of a website link

These sound like questions or suggestions better heard by Apple. No one here can really help. I found the link for you but you need to do the rest: Apple Music Feedback

A lot of inaccuracies....what constitutes a 'play' of an album?

My top artist, which collectively has an album with so many listens per track it should be #1 without question, is only 10th overall, below the new Metallica album that I didnt even like, and another album I don't even remember listening to (which I can verify has single digit listens on songs)

and then I've got other albums I listened to so much I went out and bought the vinyl for them, and they didnt even crack my top 15 somehow 😶‍🌫️

The thing is, many of us feel better venting here than sending feedback to Apple, which seems like a black hole to nowhere.

If they do anything at all it often seems like they'd make things even worse for spite.

You are right though and I get your point. But I also get why everyone shares on here too.

At least you answered.

Honestly...it's not terrible. But it can be better. Like, you know, having it in the app instead of a webpage? But some progress is better than nothing I suppose

OK, as a new Father apparently Baby Shark is my favorite song and Cocomelon is my favorite artist.
Ah don’t worry they will continue to dominate your replays. I have a 5 and 7 year old and apparently my top to played songs this year are baby shark and peaches from the Mario movie.

I am personally waiting for Spotify Wrapped. I expected better out of Apple; for those that ask why Nov, if I were a betting guy, it might have something to do with how the music industry operates. The industry shuts down from 1st week of December till about 1st to 2nd week of January. It's like an agreed-upon pause. Next to nothing is happening. If you're in the industry like me, distributor's already sent out notices that if you have any upcoming releases, you must submit them by 1st week of December. This is my best guess.
Sure, but this is a feature aimed at users of the Apple Music product. Why would any of us listeners care about when or if the "music industry" pauses? That's utterly irrelevant to the target market of "Users of Apple Music".

My top song is the one that's alphabetically at the top of all my songs, because Apple Music decides that's the only song that will play when I first get into my car and the phone connects to bluetooth. I'm starting to hate Above Ground by Norah Jones.

Yeah Apple probably won’t answer.

I’m all for venting as well. Comments expressing frustration may resonate with others and suddenly Apple (or any another company) gets a flood of feedback saying “this sucks” and actually does something about it like they did with Maps.

This Replay feature is apparently crap compared to Spotify Wrapped (I suppose… I don’t use either) so they deserve an inbox-full if people are really feeling that way.

Haha I also started to hate my first song after months of that same behavior. No idea why this isn’t an option to stop the autoplay.

I’ve been told it’s up to the car’s head unit but how could that be that there is no way to deny access to start the music?

I wonder what happens with all the music you listen to from now until the end of 2023....does the 2023 Replay change to reflect that...or does the last month count on the 2024 Replay.

I got Andrew Lloyd Webber. That guy must be making billions a year still, maybe even from Phantom alone..

Does anyone know if this counts your songs purchased through iTunes? I buy a lot of music and I’m just wondering if that got tallied up too.
